Actually he's the very first one to use it last summer ^^

Ok, but who else did? GagaDaily tweeter? Everyone was just repeating after him I think

But however, if Spanky isn't fake, then neither he is

Last summer he tweeted that he worked on mixing a new Gaga song with Spanky (with Funk The Punk mention). Spanky is absolutely real. Funk The Punk return in a Nile Rodgers tweet, then GGD tweeted about it..

I think Phil and Dave are just teasing, Phil answered this to Dave Russell tweet :

''Correction: A previous version of the story misidentified the song as "Funk the Punk," which is actually a nickname for the cover.''

Funk The Punk was definitly standing for I Want Your Love cover.

They just didn't want to hint at the title before and they called it FTP cuz the funky song was re-freshed.

Phil Tan mixed it and Spanky played drums.

The next day the cover song name was revealed and 'Funk The Punk' got away.

+ here we can see one of those mixers saying 'BAM!' and I remember Phil Tan posted the same video with a description 'I see The Kokos having a blast' so they must have worked on the same track.
