Princess Die 1,864
* When Radiohead released their version of the theme song for Spectreon Christmas Day, everyone’s first thought was “holy sh*t, this is amazing”. Suddenly, it dawned: why would anyone in their right mind use Sam Smith’s ‘Writing on the Wall’ when they have this brilliant track from one the most influential band in recent memory? Well, that doesn’t matter anymore, what’s done is done and Smith got the gig and has already won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. After the award ceremony, the singer was asked by one reporter how he felt when Radiohead’s frontman Thom Yorke released the song. “Thom Yorke?” Smith asks before collaborator Jimmy Napes quickly informs him Yorke’s a member of Radiohead. The singer proceeds to look a little befuddled by the question, before saying: “Yes, I was a little bit surprised. Not going to lie, but I haven't listened to it personally.” Then, pointing to himself and leaning into the microphone, the 23-year-old adds: “because I did the Spectre theme song”. If that sounds bad written down, it’s a whole lot worse on video. http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/sam-smith-hasnt-listened-to-radiohead-spectre-theme-doesnt-know-who-thom-yorke-is-a6810296.html That bloated chicken nugget can take several seats. Stay pressed, Sammy. Nod if you wanna make love with the enemy. ❤

Haroon 49,685
I think it sounds way worse on paper than video, I'm assuming it's comedy that hasn't translated very well, especially when anything and everything is ran with and blown out of proportion anyway Judging by the smiling and laughter I think it's just being jokey and him still being super happy that he landed the huge honour of doing the theme song

Voltaire 4,531
It was a tacky thing to say. "...because I wrote the Spectre theme song" When you have a 50/50 chance of coming off as amusing or tacky as hell, err on the side of not saying it.
