The 2014 Grammys went unnoticed because it was jazz and she just stood there on a platform. They will go to your concerts also, look at BTWB attendance compared to ArtRave. Well, I don't buy that I mean, the people you're talking about have not looked her up once in three years, not on Google, not on streaming services, nothing. I do not believe a remarkable portion of that group of people will be drawn to her because of a well promoted new era. They're obviously not pop music lovers, since they would by necessity have come into contact with 2014-15-16 Gaga news/pictures if they did. So now that you're talking about the GP, fine, but I don't think 100% of the non-fan public has thought that Gaga disappeared for three years like you said about the group of people we were talking about earlier So then you're just mingling conversations that have nothing to do with each other. I just still don't really see why you expect people that don't care enough about her to look up what she's doing for three full years to care when she releases a new single or performs at an event they apparently they don't care about either. The concert thing is a weird addition too imo. So apparently you're saying that people didn't care for ARTPOP because it was bad, not because of promo. Yet here you are saying that she needs to invest in promo more than in quality (since apparently she already has to release new music at the Grammy's and the BRITs). So what is it? Do people automatically pay attention/like something due to promo (which would negate your BTWB-ARTPOP example) or is it more important that Gaga releases something that a mass audience would like? Or both? But if it's both, then why are you calling her failing to perform at the BRITs the biggest mistake of her career? People only pay attention to performances of artists they don't care enough for to check out themselves when there's a shock factor involved, like Miley at the VMA's - has nothing to do with music. If music had anything to do with it, the 2014 Grammy's and the Oscars performance would have convinced people that she wasn't dead after 2013 (I didn't say that, you did). Just don't get your argument because it all hinges on you saying that she needs to get the group of people that didn't even hear from anything related to the girl since 2013 and I still see no good reason why they'd suddenly start paying attention because of some performance at an award show. The BTW performance did generate interest. 6 weeks at number 1, the rest of the era screwed her up. The MTV EMA didn't get as many viewers as well as X Factor and Graham Norton. The older generation has heard of everything I mentioned because acting and jazz relates more towards the older generation. And AHS really caters to the older generation, sure Agreed about the jazz, but so what? Her last solo tour was in 2014, it's only 2016 She could've just disappeared like many artists do. A two year gap is not long at all. But no, we got another tour, we got much talked about performances, appearances and fashion moments, so I really don't see why some of you try to pretend that we're off worse than we were before. She's been getting unprecedented levels of continuous praise and even if the younger generation supposedly isn't picking up on that, surely it's a positive thing that we should celebrate. I mean, jeez, why put it down just because some kids who don't care about her don't talk about her every move?
