No one is claiming that it's a #1 hit or anything, but it is clearly a successful song...

There are many other type of successes than the commercial one but go ahead and discredit it Well what success do you see in it? Only critical acclaim success? If so- there were alot of bad songs in the past that were critically acclaimed  I think what makes TIHTY (Specifically) successful is if it's message is spread in a mainstream level and sadly, it didn't. Leave sales, stats and what not. It just didn't get the 'attention' it deserved for it's message, I guess. I don't think it's a good song but I think it's message is important. AddMeOnMYSPACE 2,002
"He was like "Eeeeew! Lady duduface just touched my suit! I don't think my cleaners can get that out. Gonna make a stop at goodwill on the way home. Oh well, at least I won for The Revenant." Obviously, these are just trolls. Youtube Comments don't represents the GP. It doesn't have skyrocketing views on VEVO or spotify if that's your measurement for it's 'success' but it actually got spread everywhere through live performances, promotions for it, news (I've seen it at news and also got a bit of airplay, it might have happened anywhere else as well, who knows? ) so the message actually got spread on a mainstream level

I can agree with that. I think that's what the majority of this fanbase really want from Gaga tbqh. I know a minority here wants her to show her vocals or go towards an experimental route but I think most of the fanbase just want her to release insanely catchy pop tunes with slaying choreography following some cool weird outfits. I'm glad you're enjoying the song and it's success, don't get me wrong. I guess we just think differently.
Arizonadream777 184
I think some people on here think that LG5 is going to be a huge success but I really think that everyone should prepare themselves that it might not happen. What's important to me is how good the music is. But I'm not going to get my hopes up for the sales.

I feel like people truly want THAT kind of Gaga and Gaga knows that very well.

I don't really get what exactly do you expect from it? it wasn't aimed for charts since that's what you give me the impression that success for a song means to you, even this one or maybe you're just biased and don't want to give the song any credit since you dislike it (like you said 2 times already in this thread)

What I mean is, whenever someone says "she needs to make good music again", I can't take it seriously because... it's a meaningless statement. What is good? What is bad? You dislike TIHTY, but the majority seems to disagree. Does that make you wrong?
