I really don't want this album to be rushed.. I'd even wait another year if I had to if it meant quality. Im not even talking about perfection because in music, perfection is subjective. Like honestly they need to spend months just mastering the album. ARTPOP and Born This Way were both so rushed that the overall sound quality of the albums were terrible. Now before you come for my head- I want to make something very clear. Some of you are going to say they sounded fine and that's great, but this is going to come across as pure elitism and I don't intend for it to, it's just true. I have an acute ability to distinguish **** audio from good audio because I am a hardcore Audiophile. I don't buy my music on iTunes, I don't stream. I want to hear the music in the fullest detail and the most articulate fashion possible. Interscope didn't even release TF, TFM, BTW, or ARTPOP in 24bit. Cheek to Cheek actually WAS released in 24bit 96/24 and it sounds so great- in fact it's one of the top sellers on HDTracks (Because audiophiles know quality- it's fact). Gaga once said that once she releases something, it's forever, it's what she leaves behind. I want her and her team to not overlook this detail this time. While you may not think it's important (excuse your Apple earpods for just a second) the Grammy voting commission takes mastering and overall recording quality into huge consideration when picking a winner. That's why Beck won AOTY last year and why Daft Punk did the year before.

Please Bobby, Please Gaga, Please RedOne, PLEASE INTERSCOPE. Don't assume that all Lady Gaga fans are okay with half-assed recording and mastery. Even PRISM sounded better than ARTPOP from a mastery standpoint, and whataya know, it's in the HDTracks.com catalog! **fumes**

If any of you are interested in checking out a better way to experience Cheek to Cheek you can find it here:

http://www.hdtracks.com/cheek-to-cheek-deluxe

Note: You have to download the HDTracks Download Manager and if you're going to play it on your iPhone you will need the Onkyo App because it allows playback of True FLAC, AIFF, WAV, and ALAC. I'll include links below:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/onkyo-hf-player/id704139896?mt=8

Another Note: If you have any non Cheek to Cheek Gaga FLAC files they are not real! There are a lot of UPSCALED 16bit *CD Quality* files out there but they are just what I said, CD Quality Only. CD Quality is still compressed, and not true lossless, which is depressing because this means that no one outside of the studio has ever heard what any material from TF, TFM, BTW, or ARTPOP actually sounds like because it's never been made publicly available.

I'm really sorry for you, but since audiophiles are not numerous, I don't see commercial reasons for spending more time and money to do it :(

I don't think it's a matter of time since C2C didn't take all that long to be created. It must be something else

Well, there's a big difference. Most of the music on every album Gaga has put out besides C2C has a lot of computer generated audio. C2C was recorded with live instruments. AND they made a point to take the time on this as a partnership with Sony. Read here:

GaGa's recording sessions are always rushed and very often done with consumer grade equipment (if I recall correctly some bg vox on btw were literally recorded on a phone, TF/TFM were done almost exclusively on laptops and not with typical high end studio equipment). Unless she completely changes her workflow/artistic process it isn't going to happen.

Wow, you can actually hear what they're saying in choruses :laughga:

Lana is also signed to Interscope, but there are BTD and Ultraviolence on this website. So must be some other reason.

Yeah right? I don't get it... But yes, I have UV and BTD in my HD collection and if you think Lana's voice is heavenly now, you should hear it in Hi-Res, amped. I'm pressed Honeymoon isn't on here yet. I think a lot of artists choose not to participate with HDTracks because it requires them to send the files straight to them for analyzation which exposes a lot of flaws in the production *8hrugs*. Imagine how good that just sounded when you previewed it and then imagine hearing Dance In The Dark or Scheisse in that same quality... get my frustration now?

well, tbh if I like a song, it reaches my heart even when one ear of my headphones isn't working :derpga: plus it's too expensive. but yeah, it would be nice to have that option.

Oh me too, but I just get immense satisfaction of hearing music as it was made and not the after product of heavy compression for size convenience. Your average iTunes file size for one song is around 6mbs, lossless FLAC files are between 40-45mbs depending on the song length. So when the file size is shrunk down by 90 percent like that the song loses its depth, space, and even some sounds completely- and then they still have nerve to charge you 9.99 for it or more.. I'd rather pay the extra 10 dollars and hear it the way the artists wanted it to be heard, and that's the thing, most artists have no choice because it's simply the way it is. It's up to the label to release it in the format they choose. I think demand has a lot to do with it too.. Interscope probably assumes we don't care but I very much do and once others grasp the actual concept of how much the music is being compromised they will care too. That's why I took the time to make this post, so others could be informed :D

I don't understand why Gaga has never put out anything hi-res... I mean I've managed to get Lana albums and even one of One Direction's albums in hi-res and they sound incredible.

I love 1D, but if they can put out an album with hi-res quality... you would assume Gaga could.

Actually it kind of works in reverse. GaGa's so focused on the creative process and the art and the feeling of the session that she doesn't give a **** what equipment she's using while recording.

You'll notice most hi-res offerings come from extremely well rehearsed artists. GaGa is anything but, she's spontaneous and in the moment.

Born This Way didn't took much to be made, but that's her best album to date

I don't agree with either of your points really.

Yes, Gaga has occasionally recorded in sketchy quality for her vocals, but that is definitely not the case for the rest of what makes up a track and those sketchy vocals don't even apply to a large majority of her catalogue.

Hi-res offerings come from a very large range of artists from all sorts of periods of time. I got a hi-res version of Ultraviolence, a majority of which was recorded in "one take" so "rehearsed" doesn't really come into it. There really isn't an excuse for her to not release her material in hi-res considering there's a growing market.
