lad-gaga 266
i don't understand why the seasons are so short because we only see most these characters for the one season so they could easily give them more stories ect
EdgeofTeeth 1,934
I'm so sad that this season is over already, but I'm half glad because I won't have to see all the complaining in these threads after every episode. Seriously, what do you guys expect? And how can you call Hotel's finale the worst finale of the series when the absolutely awful, pinnacle-of-wasted-potential Coven finale exists? I'm sorry, some of y'all's complaining is just exhausting, not every single word and movement a character makes is worthy of being dragged and shredded to hell for being "awful" and "cringeworthy." The finale and the season in general were fine and I actually happened to enjoy it, it was the cleanest season in terms of plot and character development that we've had in a long time. REALITY 77,573
It's always disappointing and sad when a season ends, especially one like this. The character development was pretty well executed, especially for individuals like Iris and Liz. Speaking of Liz, I was so happy for her this episode. Yes, she dies, but in this season, dying in the Cortez only means rebirth: it's not permanent. I thought the ending was cohesive and pretty well done; however, it was unexpected in the fact that I don't think anyone was really shocked about what happened in the episode—expect for Liz. However, that being said. I thought the Billie Dean Howard's introduction was sort of unnecessary. Her role was really to only bring John back into the picture, and being my least favorite character, it was disappointing to me how much screen time John got—thought that's just my opinion. I was also disappointed in the fact that The Countess didn't get many scenes at all. She literally had 2 or 3 scenes the entire episode, though, I thought her final line "You have a jawline for days..." was a great way to end the episode. Ryan+the writers could have done so many amazing things, instead of having the shitty unnecessary plot lines like the vampire kids (from school) or the countess ****ed up child or that creepy ass metal dildo thing whatever the **** that was. I'm so sorry but the show didn't do justice for gaga! I'm hardcore fan of the show since season 1, I DIDN'T WRITE ANY COMMENTS HERE ON GGD ALL SEASON LONG because I was still hoping that it could become something better, but after this weak ass finale I'm DONE with AHS. At least the bitch got a golden globe for it. I'm sorry if I sound ungrateful or something but I just couldn't keep it in anymore! ARTPOPisaChoice 946
Overall Thoughts on Hotel The tie-ins to the other seasons were the best they have been. Queenie, The Murder House, the realtor, and Billie Dean were all excellently used for nostalgia/plot development. The music this season was excellent. Tear You Apart, I Wanna Be Adored, and The Ballad of Jordan Smith were all excellently used. Many of the characters were interesting and rich. Liz Taylor, Mr. March, Ramona Royale, and The Countess were all fun to follow, even if some of them didn't play the most vital part. In the future, the crew needs to revolve around a well-written script. A script should not revolve around a talented crew. How can this be solved in the future? Ryan Murphy obviously already knows "I like Angela, she wants to do season 6" and then usually will typecast a pointless character. Have someone who has never watched the show write the script. Give an experienced writer a detailed plot description of the previous five seasons so they can have a good feel for the show, and let them write. Let Ryan Murphy tweak, but not let him add in any typecast characters. Hold actual auditions for the parts, even series staples like Evan Peters should have to audition. On the subject of characters, Freakshow and Hotel both have had too many characters. This has caused the plot to suffer greatly, with many loose ends rearing their ugly heads. AHS has only around 585 minutes per season to develop the plot. That is the length of only about 4.8 feature length films. Freakshow and Hotel both had 25+ main/recurring characters. That is way too many to develop an interesting and cohesive plotline. Hands up to the sky 🌧 I’ll be your galaxy 🌌
boyerased 2,886
It's okay. Better than freak show. Ya'll dragging coven when of all the seasons it's actually the most enjoyable and will get you hooked. Asylum and MH were written much better though. LaLuna 12,732
Except for Liz being killed by the Countess and finally reuniting with Tristan, the finale was a huge letdown for me. For the most part, it was a good season, but it definitely wasn't the best.
DrewStevens 5,249
I watched it again and now I'm more disappointed than I was yesterday. It had the potential but they did nothing with it. This is the first time in AHS where everyone gets to be happy in some way. In the first season the bad ghosts didn't get what they wanted and they were doomed to see the happiness of the ones they loved but didn't love them back. In the second season all the villains died. In the third season all the villains died and Fiona ended up in hell. In the fourth season all the villains died and Elsa had to be part of the dead freaks forever. In this season EVERYONE had a happy ending or at least a chance to be happy.
Pablo 7,919
It was an okay season, good TV but not my personal taste which is why I probably didn't enjoy it as much. I'm not a horror fan at all but I enjoyed watching the season. My only complaint about this episode is the lazy narration of what happened to John.
