The GOP presidential candidate commented on a thwarted terror attack in Paris by implying that the French capital is actually in Germany. “Man shot inside Paris police station. Just announced that terror threat is at highest level. Germany is a total mess-big crime. GET SMART!” Trump tweeted Thursday, shortly after a French cop shot and killed a knife-wielding man who stormed a Paris police station. Twitter users quickly pointed out the geography flub and mocked the boisterous billionaire with the snarky hashtag #ParisIsInGermany. “BREAKING: Angela Merkel surprised to find she has been responsible for Paris all this time,” one user tweeted about Germany’s Chancellor.
