I don't care that the school exist, but it still sounds awful. As awful as "all" anything schools. Catholic schools? The worst. All girl schools? ewwww. Well..... It's like having an all-girls or all-boys school, or a private Catholic or Islamic school, or African-American private school. These types of schools are not there for segregation. They simply have mission statements that follow a particular path that the parents or students want them to be in. Don't be so dramatic... It's literally just a school that specifically accommodates LGBT people. Anyone who wants to join can do as well, especially since sexual orientation is an internal intangible trait. Do you think they're going to subject students to sexual stimulation tests? Sometimes you guys make no sense. It's as if you are so desperate for complete assimilation and homogeneity that even the thought of a LGBT-centered organization makes you worry about what others might think. If you have no problem with a minority-focused private school, you shouldn't have a problem with this. Also the USA is hardly a haven for minorities as you all cry about every day. Having a location where LGBT people can receive support specifically tailored for them is excellent for those who may need it. Edited just now by LebaneseDude. One of the cons, however, is NOT what straight people will think of this. Why should LGBT people have to adjust their lifestyle to suit the views straight people have? If a straight person thinks "oh, they're such weirdos" that should not be a reason to shut down the project. Some cons are possible shootings and maybe getting the students too accustomed to easy life but it's very needed that LGBT youth can congregate with one another, where they can share with each other in a non judgmental zone (but there's always the internalized hate). Nobody is forcing anybody to go there. LGBT people should have options; that's a part of being included in society. This is also very important! Everyone knows the basics of heterosexual sex and usually, that's all that's taught when it comes to sex. But what about the in the closet lesbian girl or gay boy who doesn't know about the type of sex they're gonna have one day?
