I hope they're all ready to really get some work done. It would also be good that trey create merchandise based on this. I think there's actual pratical potential business that can come out of this. I would love that this goes beyond the one performance at Grammys or even a world tour. I would love that could do something marketable with Gaga staple. That's a bit of an ARTPOP idea, but why not.. StrawberryBlond 14,938
Of course this will be one of the first expressions of a hologram in concert. This has been a talking point for months now - this technology now exists, which can dramatically change a concert experience. Its been suggested that such "holo gigs" could lead to opportunities for an artist who doesn't want to tour for whatever reason. The holo could perform for them around the world, without the stress of having to fly all over the world and exhaust themselves on backbreaking tours, which is great for flying phobic singers like Kate Bush or more stage phobic acts like Lana Del Rey. It could also be a great money saver for labels who want their artists to tour but lack the funds to put on a substantial tour - the holo means you save money on flying and hotel expenses. And there's even the possibility of essentially bringing artists back from the dead by using old footage as part of the holo, giving audiences the chance to watch legends that passed away too soon that they never got to witness on tour. It all sounds like a good idea but the whole thing feels a bit artificial and money grabbing, especially the using dead artists bit. I sincerely hope that if Gaga uses such a thing on tour, it would only be for a short segment and she would be live in person for the majority of the show. I can't imagine her ever being so lazy as to let the holo do all the work for her but I hope it's not the main focus even so.

Half of the experience is being at the venue listening to a LIVE act singing/playing/dancing/etc and connecting with the audience. Having a general tour hologram tears away all that magic.
