If music was coming you would know it. We go through this every time.

They even made it clear with this year, nothing is coming any time soon.

But you guys still don't listen!

Gaga is not a random pop singer. I mean, she's a true artist & every album has a concept & something really deep in it! She's creative & she has to take time to build all theses things together. It would not be her style to release something without even thinking about the concept & the artistic vision of it all!

She needs to finish her Oscar campaign first.  Then her schedule will be open to release an album.  Unless she starts a new main project.

Believe it or not, she's also an artist. She doesn't just care about being successful.

Should I send you an ambulance when that sinks in? I think it might be quite a shock.

Maybe she wants to finish all the songs and then choose a single?

Not here for a "______ is the lead single because it was the last song she played for me" mess. :air:

This fanbase is still (and will forever be) complaining about the ARTPOP era. I'm sure she doesn't want a repeat of that

She's not waiting for anything. It's simply not ready.

All of her recent publicity (WOTY, TIHTY, AHS, etc.) is only leading up to her comeback within the music industry. I'm anticipating LG5 like the rest of us are, but now is Gaga's time to really shine and do things right this era. Besides, I'm sure the album is far from ready. Just give it time and stop trying to manage her career.

Exactly.  And the Intel project will add to that.  She is building a really good relationship with the public before releasing or performing any pop music.  I don't think she will release a single until the album and videos are finished and perfect.

I live outside the space time continuum.

If the Intel project was a random thing, she would have performed it yesterday at CES. But it didn't happen so I have to assume that is something strongly music-related. The performance will probably involve (bookmark me) a cover (I don't know why but that video made me think of 'Life on Mars?') and she will announce something album related during the grammys.

And she better release when she feels it's time to do it. Now that she's in a really good place, not to mention she has the full control on her career(yes, I don't think that interscope would do the ARTPOP mistakes again ,now she's consolidating her place in the 'olympus ' of stardom), I think that everyone prefers a good product to a rushed one.

I agree. She is definitely re-establishing her image, which is only going to benefit her in terms of GP approval. I really think people are starting to appreciate her a lot more, and she's clearly shown her innovation as an artist--which can only be a great thing. She's proven her talent and legacy to the world already, so there's no worries there.

The wait doesn't bother me at all. I'm just worried that with all of this time she's taking, she might over edit/overproduce the songs too much and perhaps scrap a lot of ideas/songs since her mind changes like a person changes their underwear daily. The Fame Monster was great because she didn't take too much time and just wrote about what she was going through during that time period and it perfectly executed well through the songs minus Telephone. She worked on born this way for a year and a half but some songs were great and some were overproduced. You can tell she got bored of certain beats easily but then she over edited them too much. Even on Howard Stern you heard Gaga over critiquing the final versions on the album. Like with Highway Unicorn she said "I should have added that RUMBLE from the demo to the final version" and with Judas you can tell she wanted a more metal vibe. Taking as much time as you need perfecting the album is great BUT sometimes it can also be detrimental and you start to become restless and not sure how you want the song to sound completely whereas if you work on an album short period of time you'd be surprised how many successful albums were made through a span of 6 months to a year because they didn't add too much stuff to the lyrics, production, melodies, visuals etc because it was natural with how they felt during that ONE moment. I trust in Gaga this time though as I'm sure she's learned from her mistakes from the nightmare that was ARTPOP.
