He is at the top of his game and most likely releasing in 2016. I didn't add him because he is with Interscope as well and I don't think Interscope will purposely position their two biggest acts against each other. IDK. Beyonce has good album sales but her singles haven't done mega well on her last two albums. Drunk in Love was #2 after XO flopped and Partition was a medium hit. The last #1 she had was in 2010 with Single Ladies. Provided Gaga releases catchy material, I think Gaga's singles could outlast Beyonce's
REALITY 76,275
Maybe the question is: Who is the other artists' biggest competitor? Gaga. *Just to answer the question, Adele seems like Gaga's biggest competition coming in to 2016* 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

I just feel like if Beyonce were to surprise release again, then all the media attention would be on her and there would be little for the Gags. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀
Edonis 28,950
Honestly, it doesn't matter who the competition is, if she doesn't make music people like, there's no point in discussing and comparing sales to other artists. Honestly at this point, Gaga is gonna do what she's gonna do. I'm sure she, like fans, is eager to be on top (in the GP's eyes) of the pop industry once again so she'll whip up something sonically gorgeous for us to get wet to. We'll see how it goes until then. No worries....Beyonce's team have said they won't surprise release again because they don't think it will work the same way a second time.
Chump 1,093
I guess no one. But I voted Katy since she's the strongest singles force out of these (Taylor Swift, yeah, but she's not releasing this year as far as I know). However, they don't seem to release on the same time again. Albums-wise it's clear that Adele will be rulling 2016, but Gaga still will get that #1, maybe even for two weeks, cause Adele is already starting to decrease due to such huge frontloaded sales

I agree. But I think she does need to be more concerned about her commercial viability for this album. It's not really about gaining more money and fans, it's more about losing fans. If Gaga doesn't try and be commercially successful again at this stage in her career, she can kiss goodbye being an influencer, big artistic shows, and having a legacy. Yes, it should be about quality, but there are plenty of artists who have amazing messages that don't get out. And at the end of the day, Gaga likes to be ahead of everyone, likes to influence culture, and she is one of the more responsible and respectable artists who can do it effectively. It's very rare that an artist gets both the business streak and the understanding of good craft streak. Some artists are good at talent but need management and writers. Some artists are really amazing at getting themselves noticed but create **** music. Gaga needs is a rare gem that is skilled. She still could say Alot to change the world for the good and she shouldn't be afraid of doing that every now and then. She is after all, not just art, but POP. XoXoJoanneGaga 629
With her rebranding she won't be competing with Katy again. I don't think it would even matter if they released at the same time given how different their music and marketing will be this time. Her main competitors in her lane will be Adele and Bruno. I doubt LG5 will be anywhere near as big as 25 or Bruno's next album, but it's not like she'll be directly overshadowed by them.

He's had good numbers but nothing ever groundbreaking. He's kind of like Pink. Everyone loves them and gives them solid sales but no one remembers them too much the minute they go away. His last album sold 6.5m WW, and had a 5x plat single, 4x plat single, and 3x plat single in the US. And that was before Uptown Funk.
Lumi 3,512
IMO Beyoncé is an album seller, her singles don't really do that well anymore... I don't think Katy is releasing something soon and Taylor will be having a 2 year break. I don't think Rihanna will have a hit with R8 6.0, they just want to finish that album and try to create something "artistic" so fans don't destroy her. I wouldn't fear Adele, her album is already out and I only would worry about that #1 spot in Billboard 200. Justin's and Selena's eras are about to end. Who knows tho? There's always something new every year and maybe another Kesha, Carly Rae Jepsen or Lorde might show up. But I think with a killer lead single and the acclaim she's received over the last year, Gaga has never had it so easy. Seems like a good time to release sth since there's no other pop diva out there. underneath the pine
