Yeah, the US relies way too much on cars. When I was working there it bugged me I couldn't simply walk or bike somewhere or take a quick train ride. But I don't really use that much public transport for shows. It's mostly a lot of Greyhound type busservices I use, sometimes overnight. I don't mind walking long distances from a stadium to a station for example. But I guess I'm crazy haha. For example the C2C show Ghent finished at about 21.00, I walked about half an hour to a movie theater, saw AMY, sat at an empty bar for two hours, then walked around the silent city till 4AM, walked about an hour from the centre to the highway hotel right outside the city where I got on the 6AM bus back home. I was tiring but also pretty relaxing in a way. Won't do it again though haha. Most annoying is you can't use the internet on your phone in other countries. Can become pretty boring.
