If LG5 flops will you still stan for Gaga?

I'm in it for the long haul with Gaga.

If LG5 flops, either in sales and/or my personal feelings for the album, I'll still be here for Gaga. She's proven to be a dedicated, genuine, and talented artist as well as a good person. Considering all she's done, not just in music but in other areas of society and the artistic world, she deserves so much praise and support.

In the event that I don't like LG5 I will not shy away from voicing my opinions, but I also won't leave the fanbase.

Gaga could record herself taking a sh*t and I'd still stan tbh. I don't just stan for her music, I stan for the whole package. I love her as a person. She's really helped me through a lot of hard times and continues to do so. It's kind of silly to me to stop stanning for someone that important to me because a lack of commercial success.

I was here in the beginning and I'll be here till the end.

It depends on your definition of "stanning".

I'm always excited about her music, projects and fashion. I pay attention to everything she does and always give it a chance. That's why I consider myself a fan. However, my personal opinion about her artistic decisions may vary, because I don't feel compelled to agree with everything she creates.

Me being a Gaga fan is just a result of coincidence and bounded rationality. She appeared at the right time and I was instantly captivated. It's not something I have control of or something I can deliberately recreate with another artist. Ever since I acknowledged this, I haven't felt the need to justify my interest in her. I don't convince myself of anything that isn't there and I sure as hell won't go around trying to convince other people about Gaga's superiority. In fact, I don't remember the last time I ever mentioned Lady Gaga outside this forum.

I exclusively reserve the term "flop" to the quality of her work and creations. Commercial success and positive reviews have close to 0 influence on what I consider a failure. If the music means something to me, if her art captivates me and if I'm more than pleased by her performances, than that's a successful era to me. Expecting anyone else to feel the same about it would be ridiculous.

If the music were "genuinely bad" as you described it in your hypothetical scenario, I'd still keep up with her work. I probably wouldn't be as motivated but I would sill be interested, regardless. There are many aspects of an era that can excel independently, even if the music is bad.

Gaga rarely fully disapppoints me. There are certain things I would like differently but as a whole, she always delivers. Needless to say, I'd be here for the next era with the same motivation and interest with which I'm awaiting the era that's about to come.

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

I love Gaga and I will be with her and support her no matter what. I do care about the sales because I want her to be happy and successful, and I love seeing her being liked by the general public, but it won't influence how much she means to me in any way.

If the music is still my cup of tea, then yes, I don't see why not. I always see this question resurfacing. The fanbase really shouldn't be so insecure about her success.

I couldn't be bothered if she doesn't sell well. That's almost a non factor.

But if the music is bad (which I just couldn't imagine. I can't imagine a genuinely bad Gaga album), then I would still stand by her. She's given enough good material to keep me standing by her for one bad album.
