Cause, you know, the only reason she went "crazy" and "slutty" is cause she didn't have any **** in her life....

This is fake. Let Miley be Miley.

I don't want the old Miley back. Bangerz/Dead Petz Miley is far more interesting than Breakout/TTOOL Miley was. Better songs too.

But like people have said, there really is no going back with how far she's gone.

Hmm.. I don't think so. People are talking about her needing to be more mature, but I think she's actually shown the most maturity in this era. If people can't connect maturity to outrageous visuals, then that's quite sad since the two can perfectly co-exist.

In terms of toning things down, I don't know if Miley would fall prey to someone demanding that just to make them more comfortable. I think she'll do her own thing, whether that means she'll change things up again or not.

Maybe she was acting mature, but I feel like I can't take her seriously with this outfit (this is just an example).

I get that, but then I don't understand how you've handled 50% of Gaga's outrageous stuff tbh :air: Sure it was a bit more subtle but how can you justify being a Gaga fan while being shocked by something like this? :emma:

Edit: Well, shocked is the wrong word but Gaga was always the first to note that her provocation isn't meaningless and people too easily get put off by the exterior (which is of course also the point), not digging deeper for the purpose and the meaning. I think Miley is very much the same that way. Which is why I'm generally confused as to why so many Gaga fans can't stand her.

Maybe because I "know" Gaga more than Miley. Anyway, there are many Gaga outfits I don't like or I just can't find the artistic side of them.  If Gaga wore something like that instead of Miley I'd still think "Wow, this is ridiculous". Like this one:

Don't get my wrong, I usually love Gaga's crazy outfits, but there are some of them I just don't understand

Edit: Yes, I'd probably respect her more if I did some research about her and her artistic meaning. I think you're right

I think time will present a more mature Miley as it does to any young artist, but whether she will always be as provocative or outrageous as she is now remains to be seen. I don't think an artist (or person in general) should change who they are for someone else, even for self destructive reasons (they should want to better themselves for their own sake). I really could care less if she wanted to wear a dildo on stage, I care more about what she is putting into her body and that she isn't destroying her mind or talent. By all accounts she seems happy and has been shown to explore her creative side in what may be therapeutic ways (such as painting or crafts). If Liam influences her to explore her artistry in a different manner, that's perfectly fine, but she shouldn't want to change her personality just for his sake.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Don't ever dare compare that attention ***** to Gaga whose shocking and provocative antics all had a meaning unlike Miley.

:air:

Miley doesn't provoke for no reason.

Like, this is exactly what I mean: Gaga haters always say (and have said since the beginning) that Gaga was some dumb attention wh-re who didn't know what she was talking about and to see her fans say the same thing about another artist, clearly not trying to get them, is just baffling ànd hilarious :rip:

This is my opinion, respect it please, the only provocative thing I liked she did was #FreeTheNipple, it was really brave of her to do so but for all the other things I don't understand the purpose of licking a hammer or the performance with Robin Thicke. There's only for one purpose that she could do so : to get attention.

I love her current image the moat out of anything yet. She's my favorite person tbh. But I'm kinda of glad she's hack with Liam because I want her to be happy and if these means happy pop music again, I'm not complaining also here's a shameless plug....go watch my new video about it on youtube https://youtu.be/3JWTaaS7LdU

Well, sorry if I don't respect an opinion that expresses itself in the form of calling someone an "attention wh-re" :emma:

Provocation has a purpose in itself imo. The fact that what she did blew up is part of the genius, because in reality, she really wasn't doing much special. Imo she broke new ground in pop culture because she used provocation by simultaneously deconstructing her sexuality. Nearly every other pop artist (incl. Gaga) provokes audiences by amping up their sexuality. Miley is now known for her ultimately unsexy outrageousness. That is a nearly unparallelled achievement imo and it's exciting in the context of a female pop star - she would have received less **** if she was fine with showing her ass on a cover of her single à la Lady Gaga. But she chose to destroy her public image and demand new rights as a female in the industry (ex. her art collection).

Not expecting you to take that seriously, but to me, that doesn't make you much different from someone who calls the meat dress a move solely for attention. In fact, I think I can be truthful in saying that Gaga has engaged in LOTS of attention moves similar to Miley that are a lot harder to find meaning in than Miley's current antics.

So again: double standard.

REALITY

Miley's Miley. She'll do what she wants, and I'm fine with that. If anything, I think people need to stop wanting her Hannah Montana persona back.
