Would Gaga change her name?

Do you think she would ever drop the "Lady" in her name? Would you be here for it? Majority of her fans, and even just people talking about her in normal conversation call her "Gaga" and the Lady is kind of not needed anymore. Not saying I want her to drop it, but Gaga is a household name and everyone knows her. Does she need the Lady? Would you want her to keep it or do you not care? I don't know how I feel personally and I was thinking about it for a while lol. :ohno:

omg why is princess is princess high my new nickname

no. this has been a discussed topic since The Fame actually. Gaga always clearly says she prefers to be called Gaga, because she thinks it's too formal to say Lady Gaga. But, think of Lady Gaga as to Sir Elton John.

She wouldn't ever drop the Lady. The phrase "gaga" is still used for different things other than her name so the Lady is needed to specify. Also it would be a bad move for someone who is trying to rebuild her musical career, the general public might get put off by the confusion of her name change.

No.  Why would she do that? She's not Snoop Dog who often change his name to Snoop Lion, Snoop Zilla, etc. That would be really tacky. :wtf:

no one uses the "Lady". even if i met her i would call her Stefani before calling her "lady gaga". id just use the gaga. but thats her stage name and its iconic! imagine a presenter saying "ladies and gentlemen, pls a round of applause for gaga..." like no. the "lady" is iconic to her name, even if its not used

Actually didn't think about this, very true.

Maybe it was a dumb question, I wasn't sure how I felt about it, I don't know why I was so stuck.

Nah, that's like a guy called Matthew changing his real name to 'Matt' just because that's what everyone calls him. I love the word 'Lady' in her name anyway.

Do you feel him sir?

It sounds so much more powerful as "Lady Gaga" than just "Gaga"

Ladies and gentleman, the one and only- Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is the formal version and Gaga is the informal. Lady is like her first name and Gaga is like her last name. If it was just Gaga all the time it would feel like something's missing...

Nope Lady Gaga has done so much to just let go of her name. Not only would it be a waste to change her name, but it would also be hard to come up with something as iconic as Lady Gaga.
