Pacify Him 9,073
30 minutes ago, Yaxley said: lol yeah i never liked TEOG but it charted high because of hype and then stayed high up there, so whatever. it was a hit. bleh. i dont like MTN video at all. i really like her videos for her tours but she didnt direct them. pointless but BTW, MTN, TEOG, SCHEIBE, would have been my 4 releases in that order from the album. and no more single releases at all. and a totally different video for TEOG and MTN. TOTALLYYYYYYYYYYYYY yeah a different video for those two would make them special in their own way. The MTN video seems more like a documentary and that's doesn't look fun at all. It is so random. I can't find a connection from everything that's been happening all the way to the last part of the dancing in the end. 31 minutes ago, Mobster said: The Edge of Glory became a single because it was doing great before it got chosen as one... Marry the Night is amazing!! There's a whole business behind music and songs not reaching the "hit" status, can't necessarily be attributed to the song itself... Unless you were only referring to the videos (?) yeah we are referring to the videos. That metaphor about her career is the only thing I find interesting. The rest confused me. 27 minutes ago, Music said: The Edge Of Glory is one of Gaga's biggest hits tbh, and it even had the potential of being even bigger (if the music video was more eventful; but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the video anyway) OT: it is an amazing album with phenomenal tracks the world needed to hear - Bloody Mary and Heavy Metal Lover. Her TEOG live performance is even better than the music video In her defense, something happened that lead to a rushed release and production of the video. I like all the songs tbh but I can't think of anything that would make any of those to have a video for themselves. I’m getting on your nerves
Tove Lo 2,481
If Judas was never a single, I would have never ended up liking Gaga (most likely) so you're entitled to your wrong opinion. hop on that **** like a maniac
Pandacadabra 9,085
Not here for all this TEOG dislike, the song is a masterpiece and You & I was a hit its the Gaga song that people still sing in TV competitions worldwide up to this day, it was a hit as a single too. It was a good album and so was ARTPOP. None of the songs were a waste.
elijahfan 26,027
Are you trying to make "BTW flopped" a thing? Because no matter what you seem to believe, it was a hit.

FlopSlut 1,190
BTW was the album of the millenium by any standards. Different singles would have helped but it was still very good. Flopenstein
Lord Temptation 11,209
MTN should've been released first, then BTW, ScheiBe, Bad Kids and lastly Bloody Mary or Electric Chapel. TEOG was only released because it polled well. Goes to show you should never listen to a sample of people who are supposed to represent everyone. uvglo 966
Sorry but that didn't really make any sense, especially the Applause part. And anyways, Gaga was open about the fact that they wouldn't let her choose her own singles during the BTW era. Not her fault. BTW is absolutely her best album and will continue its reign as the album of the decade omg why is princess is princess high my new nickname
REALITY 76,232
Maybe it's just me, but that was probably my favorite album of her career so far. Forget how "good" the songs may be, the overall message was amazing. An album where it's main focus is about love and acceptance? Who could ask for more? 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
Duella Dvil 10,492
I feel like this is a troll about ARTPOP in disguise www.instagram.com/theduella666
ApplauseftAdele 4,730
Reading the comments here... 1) She probably doesnt have complete authority over what is released as a single, and even if she did I'm sure she doesn't care about sales. 2) I highly doubt Electric Chapel would do much better than MTN. 3) Yoü and I is honestly a great song and it showed the public another side of her, also MTN had a chance if she released it second, judas was a great song but it "flopped" bc of Christians getting offended 4)Edge of glory is literally the only song by Gaga I heard played a ton during the BTW era... iMonster 1,037
What really constitutes a flop though? Her sales? nope. Live performances were trash? NOPE! Honestly, BTW was a cool era. Granted it wasn't the best I believe Gaga can do, but I'm happy it's apart of her discography. Who cares about singles when you HAVE the album?! (I would've loved to see a visual for Monster and DITD but we didn't so what. . .) A lot of what people dislike is all SUBJECTIVE. My opinion (which is also subjective) is Judas was a great single choice. The controversy around it was even better. (I still can't believe people didn't understand the simple metaphor ) It had people talking and they were MAD. Lol! From the haunting feels in Bloody Mary to the expressive synths in hair. From Government Hooker to the ever iconic Scheiße, BTW was a great experimental step in Gaga's career and I appreciated it.
ShockPop 7,747
The whole campaign was flawed from early on similar to ARTPOP. After boomkak left and the drama with promo singles, gaga directing and jays directing for the last 2 videos... Urgh. I hope she learns now that professionals are rated high for a reason. Should have been: BTW, TEOG (better video), SCHEIßE, MTN (better video), Yoü & I.
