Clearing up nasty rumors people have spread about one of Gaga's songs means I have my head up my ass? Perhaps take your negativity and immature comments elsewhere.

no, but your hostility might be just a tad overdone

Then again, every Gaga song gets dragged somehow in the months and years following their release. Back when Applause got out, people would say it was her best lead single ever - if we did a poll today, I doubt the opinions would be the same.

Yep!  You've hit the nail on the head!

'Fans' decide to hate things only after they underperform. :lolga:

Exactly!  A lot of the members of this fan base only love a song if it reaches the # 1 spot on the BB Hot 100 so they can use it as "receipts" when trying to drag someone else's fave.  I bet everyone would be talking about how great and wonderful Applause was if it had reached the # 1 spot and would have remained there for at least 5 or 6 weeks.

It's quite sad that "some" of the so-called fans are nothing but a bunch of bandwagoners.  If LG5 smashes a la The Fame Monster, I can bet there will be a bunch of little bandwagoners joining this website again simply because Gaga is smashing.  That is just pathetic, if you ask me.  I mean, I love an artist because of their music and artistry not because of their chart success.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

I have read a lot of posts claiming Gaga hates Telephone and that she thinks it's her worst song, which is complete bullshit created by delusional stans who for some reason want to damage Gaga's most acclaimed album; The Fame Monster. Gaga actually said "I gave the song to Britney's team but they didn't use it. I didn't want it to go to waste, so I had to fight to get the song back which was a terrible experience. I had to go through a lot to get the song back." she talked about how the experience of fighting to get the song back and fighting with the production was an awful experience for her. She later clarified it's nothing to do with the song itself but with the memories she has associated with the song and the legal issues.

Now, try harder ARTPOP stans.

Get your facts straight Dahhhling

Gaga: “I hate ‘Telephone’. Is that terrible to say? It’s the song I have the most difficult time listening to.”

Pop Justice: “Because it was offered to Britney first?”

Gaga: “Well that’s not exactly what happened, but I don’t want to delve into that. I could delve into it if you turn that (motions to recorder) off… But ultimately the mix and the process of getting the production finished was very stressful for me. So when I say it’s my worst song it has nothing to do with the song, just my emotional connection to it.”

Right, that's the tricky thing with Gaga being mainstream with an underground appeal. Most of the artists I like have very limited commercial success, so I never think in terms of charts. I do get that it's nice when your fave is doing great, but it shouldn't influence one's appreciation of the work. But what can we do... **** contests have been a thing for thousands of years.

Yeah, I agree with what you've stated.  Your fave's chart position shouldn't influence one's appreciation of their work.  Some of the other artists I like, don't even chart on the Hot 100 because they're not mainstream artist in the least bit.

Anyway, I love all of Gaga's albums.  Each of them mean something to me for different reasons.  TF, TFM and ARTPOP are my dance-my-ass-off albums and BTW is my empowerment and feel-good-about-myself album.  C2C is my I'm-in-the-mood-for-classic-jazz-music album.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

ARTPOP stans, TFM stans... since when do we have factions within the fanbase? which one am I in?

Are there C2C stans?

I don't think Gaga is even capable of hate. It's such an ugly word. Then again, it can be such an ugly world.

I didn't know Telephone was such a touchy topic for you. Ofc every fan feels someway about all her songs. But you're clearly the only one over exaggerating about one.

Telephone is one of the very few Gaga songs that actually get airplay anymore so she and you little bottoms better appreciate.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Ok... but I was just stating that she said it in an interview back in 2011.

I remember this too, I don't know where though. I actually think I read it here a long time ago. I thought she said that her least favorite song from TFM is "Telephone" and least favorite from TF is "Money Honey"
