Saudi Arabia made deep cuts to fuel subsities raising costs of hydro utilities, water, gasoline and even plane tickets. Gasoline which sold for 25 cents per litre went up 50% to around 40 cents per litre (still very cheap by international standards)

The moves are in an attempt to control the budget deficit which for the 2014-2015 fiscal year was at $100 Billion for the Country of 30 million.

They are attempting to cut deficit without decreasing funding for essentials such as healthcare, education and infrastructure

Gas stations today are filled with cars before the change happens haha but gas here is still cheap though $0.48 per gallon ($0.13 per liter)

We also dont have taxes in our country but they started taking taxes if you own a land and dont build it or fence it.
