Tommy Monster 849 Posted December 27, 2015 Share Posted December 27, 2015 Yesterday, my mom´s cousin who is 34 years old and happily married with two kids said that he downloaded Justin´s album, cause it surprised him how good it was so now even adults start to listen to him, cause I cannot say that the album is bad, Love yourself is just Can you imagine him listening to Gaga like this??? the "gay queen" as some would call her??? Bieber has the image of a bad boy that everyone forgives him... Gaga on the other hand has the image of a lame pretentious popstar who goes on and on about being yourself and blah blah blah... she had a tremendous success this year, but people outside the US barely notice it... I really hope that she will be successful with LG5, but I´m trying to remain realistic... ARTPOP was supposed to be a second coming of Jesus and look how it turned out, even though for me it was her best work to date... but she distroyed her image with BTW I wish her success, I really do, but when it doesn´t come, the music is what matters the most and if I like it, I´ll be satisfied Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Don't even try to deny the fact that Born This Way is the best album of this decade. All year long Gaga has been proving that not only is she REALLLLY talented, but she is also quite humble and down to earth. I.e. Relatable. People have now forgiven Gaga. Actually, they have forgiven themselves for ever thinking that Gaga was "just like the rest of them", "all talk but no talent". The public is ready to hear what she has to say next on LG5. I don't doubt her (and i never did), she will deliver a great piece of work, cohesive and artistic, that will obviously overcome Purpose by miles, and i'm cool with that (as always, quality>quantity) But JB has an enormous fanbase and stronger appeal, and he's nowhere polarizing about what he sings as Gaga. Selling a Jazz album as CtC did is a big achievement. And he helped her to be recognized a very talented artist. She cleared her image after being trashed in 2013 and 2014. It was a very good decision to make that 2015 'break'. I don't think the goal with TIHTY was to be a hit song... LG5 plans will be bigger. As Gaga said she wants to explode when she'll enter in her 30s.. The only mistake I hope he won't do will be to release LG5 too late and having a new blackout. She's been in such a good position being able to focus on being positive and given time to be artistically creative. Not only that, but her last musical album was with Tony Bennett, and won her so much praise. That's something that did get around, and I know people of the older generation will be looking out for what she puts out. So if she can bring something new that connects with both the radio and the older generations she could just cement herself as a figure in the industry. She's been on everyone's lips performing so many classics this year, not just jazz but Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, with U2, everywhere. I think from the first note of the first single we'll be able to tell what she's gunning for. Being artistically creative can lead IMO either to something incredibly classic (Edge of Glory, Poker Face for example) or go more towards a new pop/electronic sound, which would keep her in the same place I think, with people not explicitly supporting her in public. At least at this point of time, I am contented that Gaga only focuses on her work and doesn't tease anything about new album. Let #LG5 be truly complete before released.
