It is all about timing and sound.

Gaga has to have a buzz about her before any music drops.

They're aiming above bieber and swift. Gaga will be on a higher plane with Beyonce & Eminem regardless of initial sales. The current projects are about making her into a n icon that people will pay to see. An icon that gets the high accolades. With that comes album sales.

A good relatable pair of lead singles will see the album praised to the heavens.

We need a power ballad to shock with vocals.

wow I checked out that first song. It has the lyric "I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to, But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two". Really is this supposed to be music? Sorry but I just can't help but point out that this shouldn't have even made the top 10 out of a class of 30 kids poetry in school. I really can't believe this is possible maybe they just faked the numbers. Oh dear the video doesn't even have the singer in it just some girls kissing the camera and holding a sign saying they  love bieber. totally weird. There doesn't seem to be any reason given why he is sorry or what for or why whoever is so great. It is just like dodgy..

I don't think the goal with TIHTY was to be a hit song... LG5 plans will be bigger. As Gaga said she wants to explode when she'll enter in her 30s.. The only mistake I hope he won't do will be to release LG5 too late and having a new blackout. Pre ARTPOP era blackout killed all the hype. 

But still C2C isn't a huge success as it could've been, but the truth is she cleared her image and most important of all she cleared her mind....Why I am saying it could've been more successful? I mean just imagine Gaga having a jazz album in 2010/11/12, it would make jazz go mainstream once again. Overall, it was a major jazz album in 2014

1.2M copies WW is big for jazz.. I don't think it would have done better before..

Most of her fans (and the GP) are not really crazy about her doing jazz anytime it would have been released.. It did better than anybody would have expected actually..

Gaga simply does not have the appeal where she appeals to a big range of people like these artists that are selling boatloads. Her appeal is very secluded.

But I think Gaga is in a whole different situation, you will never hear people be like Oh YEAH BLAST GAGA! Her new album is so cool! Like it is not cool to like Gaga, I can tell half her fanbase are undercover fans.

It's as simple as this. I don't know why people act like Bieber's comeback was impressive or surprising when he always had the foundation to appeal to an entire generation of young people. Literally all he had to do was 1) Stop doing dumb **** and making headlines for it, 2) Release good, catchy, well-produced singles.

Gaga simply doesn't have that foundation or generation-wide appeal to be the biggest pop star in the world again. I have no doubts that she'll come back with a great single that's well produced and fits in today's market, and that her management will promote the hell out of her in very clever ways, but she's not going to be as effortlessly successful as Adele or Bieber. It'll be a successful album nonetheless, but not biggest pop star in the world successful.
