We dressed up our soldiers in proffesional soldiers clothing even tho they were just regular soldiers to intimidate the Americans into retreat... Also we told our soldiers to scream their lungs out as loud as they could and stomp real hard and make noises to make it sound like we had way more soldiers coming in battle than we did also to scare the Americans into retreat what do you expect? Britain was busy fighting France and couldnt help us and we were too few to win against the States so our only hope was to lie and mislead you and hope youd fall for it, which you did But yeah would be one heck of a Nation... im immagining the population of the US with our natural resources. Have u seen our Oil reserves? And Natural Gas, Coal, Copper , Zinc, Nickel, Gold, Silver, Uranium, Potash etc Canada actually has terrible innovation and bad productivity rates among the worst in the developed world. Maybe its good you guys didnt take this land OT = Off Topic I was reading the wiki page on the War of 1812 and tbh I'm surprised Britan was able to keep herself in check with all the battle fronts she had then I'm sure at some point we'll end up merging; maybe Mexico will join afterwards if our cultures begin to mix a little more in the south & we'll be the first nation to essentially cover an entire continent. Also some politics is also always different. And some stuff functions totally differently such as our healthcare system. A merge would be complicated and i think too many people would be against it And yeah Countries with lots of Natural Resources tend to have bad productivity rates. Its like a curse. You get comfortable developing an economy to sell natural resources and you start to neglect innovation or fixing problems in some sectors of economy Our last government did almost NOTHING to help our struggling manufacturing sector. Instead our Prime Minister kept advocating for pipelines to expand our Oil Sands, Natural Gas production etc Now Oil Prices and other resource comodities crashed and everyone is hoping for a rebound in manufacturing to compensate.
