Sound of LG5: Return of the Disco Stick?

I'm hype af sorry...but as we begin to enter the dawn of a new era, I can't help but wonder what LG5 will sound like. It is rumored to be disco/funk/punk, and since disco is one of my favorite genres, I'm super excite. Do you ever think Gaga would sample from any of the great disco songs? I'm not really familiar with her songs that have samples on them (I know she has a few), but I would love to see some subtle sampling on the upcoming record, to pay homage to some of the disco greats. What about you? Here are some songs I would love LG5 to sound like or sample from.

P.S. I hope she uses some of the flavors of these pieces of music, but obviously add in her originality and ingenuity. I hope we get something that feels like it could be the future of a new genre of music, while simultaneously capturing the essence of wonderful genres past.

This song would be perfect to sample, I mean Gaga is the queen of freaks amirite. plus it would just be a dance floor anthem

imagine a song like this on the next record. It would really showcase her vocals.

Ok this one is a little weird, I'll admit it. But I would love to hear gaga's etheral voice, with a backup chorus of angels, over some groovy, disco bass. Anyone else?

This last one is played at every wedding, party, it has reached an unmatched level of overexposed. However, what if gaga took this well-known chorus and made something completely new? Maybe even dark? Idk, I'd be down.

What songs would you like to see LG5 sound like? Would you like her to sample? Recently, I watched a Ted Talk of Mark Ronson, a producer of LG5, and I learned that he is really into sampling, so it is pretty likely. Wow I'm too excited.

Yes, I'm here for a disco/funk inspired album. :flutter:

I want something like this from her.

I'm not so fond of sampling... Even if I love a song, my subconscious will always devalue the song... Like with remixes, even if I love them, I will still believe the original is better. Even if it's complete bs, because who knows what happened during the production of a song, it might have been "remixed" already.

Anyway, just my completely irrelevant opinion on sampling.

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

I would LOVE some funk in the next release but as much as I love the classics I would want them to stay separate as classics.

They have no place in (what I hope to be) a cutting edge modern dance record

This is kinda my thoughts on "hidden" samples, like the ones that are kind of from obscure songs. Ur right tho, I feel like once you find out a song is sampled, it does devalues it. Plus, I could see a lot of people being like she copied!!!!11 But it if the sample was like really obvious and clear that it is a sample, I think I'd be fine with it.

I cannot stand disco... Really hoping it's just a few songs here and there and not the entire album.

Maybe it will only be disco in the way that You & I is country music? Like super low key lol. I hate country music but I'm okay with You & I even tho I consider it kinda country-y.

Yeah, I mean if it's a hint of disco then that would be fine. I just am hoping there isn't a whole bunch of full on disco :duck:

I think disco-influenced dance pop fits Gaga's theatric and lower range very well, and I would love to see it predominant on LG5. An iconic way to debut the new sound would be a Grammy-performance of a Mark Ronson & RedOne produced lead, with the return of the iconic disco stick, updated for 2016 and used to generate recognition and praise, but sparingly enough not to overuse the novelty of it. Obviously that probably won't happen, but that's my dream

I agree. This is kind of off topic but I would love to see more entirely self written songs (like You & I) on LG5

Gaga always celebrates her influences with her albums. I'm hoping the sound of LG5 is some kind of sexy tropical disco - jazzy deep house beast.
