The attitude, producers and material performed over the past 2 years indicates a few things. The need to show her voice and writing skills, she is fed up swimming against the stream of dance pop, and she is killing old covers. She wants an album of long standing classic pop songs. The OP was saying she has the potential to gain mass fans and viewers if she chooses to focus on something original and vocally superior rather than rehash a previous sound. I think she'll definitely make something different. All her albums have been so far! I do agree that she needs to showcase her vocals, but I think it still has the chance to be a very vocally driven album but still have more upbeat songs! Not necessarily electronic per say, just upbeat! I'm sure she'll deliver, I have faith in her. We can't be stuck in 2008-2009 anymore, and neither has Gaga. If she really wanted to make that type of music now, then she would have done so earlier (basically, not making ARTPOP or Cheek to Cheek). She knows what she wants, and she wants to evolve as an artist. Like she said in her Billboard: Woman of the Year speech, she wants to be looked at as a serious artist, not some girl just wanting her 15 minutes of fame. Gaga's also evolved as a person, and that's okay. She isn't the same girl from 2008-2009 anymore. There is a reason why she is winning awards, winning back the public while the media and many even within her fan base considered her a mess and over with like she was on her knees singing "DWUW" at the AMAs. However, she continues to dazzle, winning the Woman of the Year in 2015 by Billboard and all she released this year was "'Til It Happens To You." I'm just waiting what she comes up with next.
