giskardsb 12,565
It would be a step backwards. People are ready to accept her as a "real" artist now and her potential fanbase is now wider than ever. A pure electronic dance heavy album would undo much of her momentum and limit it's appeal to fickle pop fans. It's the perfect time for Gaga to really work on songwriting and vocal presentation. TF for sure is too immature in sound now. TFM is a more mature and darker album but still too dance beat oriented. Gaga can still have electronic elements and be Experimental in a more musical way, or push for a more organic sound. I'm always for Gaga pushing the envelope if she so chooses. But I won't lie, Imo this is the perfect opportunity for a timeless, organic album showcasing songwriting, vocals, and musicianship. She can set herself apart from the pop horde. It's time for her Jagged Little Pill, Songs in the key of Life, Tapestry, or Dark Side of the Moon.
Arizona Sky 10,913
Clearly shading my thread I see I agree, with my thread I should've worded it better. I didn't necessarily mean the music itself, but her attitude during the era. I'm down for new things as long as it's great material.
Twitter 14
Some fans are stuck in 2008-2009 and some are rooting for that high success point again. OT: I want something fresh and not a return of TF + TFM.
artRaver 3,188
I want something fresh and if it has to do with electronic dance music in any sort so be it. Why y'all ripping the poor sis to shreds. ✿ cherry blossom girl ✿
Dangerous Man 9,245
What do you mean by she's real artist now? Fyi, TF/M was her most commercially successful and at the same time her most critically acclaimed era. Not to mention it was only her pop era that gave her grammies. She was a real artist ever since. Dorothy Gale 7,575
I hope Gaga doesn't limit herself. I want some TF/M type songs, a few BTW type songs, possibly a few Act II tracks and TIHTY/IWYL/disco/punk realness on LG5.
Hexxx 2,244
i want the creativeness that was TF and TFM. Not the exact same sound and theme of TFM or TF. i want fan acclaim and a bold sound. Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
monketsharona 80,337
So the same could be said for BTW and ARTPOP
Mast 980
Pop music is no longer Europop based, so an album like TF/M might feel very dated. At the same time, EDM is not the way to go either. I want a fresher sound. Nothing like her past albums sonically, especially not ARTPOP.
Guest
Lady Gaga will continue to evolve as a person & an artist, she stays up whole nights writing & being consumed in her thoughts, she can't go back to TFM because it is not representative of where she is at right now, TFM was a time of insecurity, LG5 is her time to come back stronger than ever. Pandacadabra 9,089
I 100% agree with this. This is what I'm hoping for, I want to see Gaga do timeless songs, songs that arent just dance hits. Songs that trigger emotions. Vocals on the forefront, not underneath electronic beats.
