Hillary Clinton plans to close 50,000 public schools?

According to U.S. Department of Education statistics, there were just over 98,000 public schools in the U.S. as of the 2011-2012 school year, the most recent year for which complete data are available. Under Hillary Clinton’s proposed education plan to shutter all average and below average schools, that would mean that nearly 50,000 schools would have to be shut down, assuming that the median and average national school performance were roughly equal.

Does she even consider WHY some schools aren't doing well? (the fact that most of them are in areas of poverty?) Way to try to sweep something under the rug instead of dealing with the root of the problem.

Don't create a flamebait title like that, she never said she has plans to close down 50.000 schools. There'll probably be a program and a score for schools first, if they don't improve, THEN they should close them.

Well the idea itself is wrong and usually discriminatory (of closing schools @ a certain arbitrary standard) but the title is just sensationalism and intentionally misleading

If someone from the Republican side stated this, people would drag them for filth. But since it's Hillary, the brainwashed are giving a pass because they want to see the first female president. Voters need to wake up. Hillary is being forced down the throats of Democrats, and the media is trying their damnest to make people believe that she's the only candidate.
