First of all: I am not talking about LG5, it could be another album.

I don't know you, but I really appreciate when Gaga put mythological elements into her songs as she did with ARTPOP.

I'd like Gaga to keep on relating to mythology, but maybe from another culture. Since Dark Horse music video is supposed to relate to Egyptian mythology, what do you think of Gaga going into a more Nordic direction? The Scandinavian Pantheon is so rich and dynamic. With ARTPOP Gaga embodied a rather fragile goddess of love, with a Nordic-themed album, she could be a merciless and blood-thirsty warrior ready to get rid of her enemies. The themes of the album would be the natural world, war, family and spiritual elevation, which I think could really lead to something interesting.

I don't like this because it would probably be so literal that either people will cry appropriation or people will roll their eyes because it's yet another reference.

I think people are more excited to see a fresh, simple, clean Gaga who can impress with the basics: a killer voice, a sexy, cool attitude and a musical and visual vibe that can easily transcend music genre reality tunnels, widening her audience.

Something like this wouldn't feel current to me.

I see and agree with what you mean. Indeed we all know Gaga will be fresh, clean and sexy with LG5. Yet I'm pretty sure we'll be tired of her being normal when she's supposed to be excentrical, to be Gaga. One album of simplicity and purety is a good and curative thing. However, LG6 should be a bit crazier. Besides this, many young are fond of the Viking world, it would be a good way to attract more fans. It is easily possible to be sexy and fresh by embodying a Nordic Goddess.

For this, she needs to pay a proper tribute to the Nordic culture and not make a mess of this (The Birth of Venus and Venus of Milo are not the same thing).

As an American pop star you're always gonna look stupid doing something like that though. What connection does she have to Nordic culture? I can't imagine how it would not feel like a gimmick.

Maybe in the future and in a more subtle way...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

If ARTPOP hadn't been messy, I'm sure people would have been blown away with the Greek theme of the album. The G.U.Y. music video on its own is a masterpiece, and I think Venus is one of Gaga's best songs ever. If Gaga ever return to the fierce and fearless singer she was during her early career, I'm sure she could make it happen brillliantly. Apart from the Venus mistake, her embodying a mythological Goddess never shocked me.

Even Katy Perry and her Egyptian theme never shocked me (expect with the Make me your Aphrodite line).

Moreover, Gaga is an artist, she doesn't have to justify what she does. I guess her alter egos represent something particular. A Nordic warrior could embody her strong self.

I wonder when did she decide to use Greek mythology for ARTPOP, I remember her saying on lm.com "ARTPOP is not inspired by anyone/anything/it's inspired by the future" something like that.

If she decides to do a rock/metal song, the video could have some Nordic mythology references, because why not? :green:

Why does everything Lady Gaga do have to "get rid of" other people in music? It's never about the quality of the work, it's always pitting Gaga against everyone else and competition, it's so immature childish and stupid. I'd rather have Lady Gaga have another truly artistic moment rather than worry about who she's "coming for" or whose "weave she's snatching" or what record you want her to break.

Monsters need to start coming up with ideas for Lady Gaga to do from a place of artistry not a place of outshining someone you don't like.

Oh c'mon, don't make me say things that I haven't said. Who said it wouldn't be about art and quality? Even if peace and love are important, I think competition is a worthy mecanism that pushes artists to improve and reinvent themselves. It's not that bad. Besides this, when I refer to Gaga getting rid of the others pop stars, it's a metaphor to relate to Nordic women being fearless warriors. Stop panicking.

I mean, its cool but not now.

Unless there's lots of water themes and visuals. No one since Kylie with Aphrodite and the Les Folies tour has gone all out with water. I got a thirst, and the only thing that will quench it is more water. Gaga came close with the original concept for TEOG but we know how that ended up.

I do not mind at all and even like the idea, but I would want her to do her research, use it correctly and appropriately.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Indeed, I have thought in the past of a Gaga era possibly inspired by fantasy / Middle Ages / Nordic themes. It would definitely be interesting, and somehow fresh in the pop landscape (Grimes did it a tiny bit in the Genesis video, and I know she's a massive Game of Thrones fan). But if she does it, I'd want it to be subtle and have an interesting twist.

I'd love to see her take on the Joan of Arc story. Hoping it would somehow include Alexander McQueen's imagery (he was very much inspired by the Middle Ages and the history of Scotland in particular).
