mcotar 10
I flew to NY for the ARTPOP release and waited outside of the Howard Stern show at 6am in the rain. She came out and her security was rushing her, but she stopped them and went greeting everyone waiting for her, in the rain. She didn't want pictures (understandable ) but made it a point to talk to everyone and sign autographs. She saw me shivering and asked where I was from. I told her I was from Miami and cold as hell, but I wasn't going to leave until she did. She hugged me and told me that the hug would keep me warm till I got to the hotel. She is a class act, a humble human being, and the epitome of an artist. I have stanned for her since her club tour and have stood by her art since. She is a beautiful soul and an unmatched talent. Wonderful story. You are so lucky, she sometimes doesn't have the option of stopping. "Beautiful soul" describes her perfectly. I live outside the space time continuum. Meruk Holland 2,277
I was in New York with my mom for a weekend just for fun. That was our third time going, and we've made it a tradition to do two things every time we go to New York: see a musical or play and eat out at Joanne Trattoria. After spending most of the day in Central Park, we made reservation for like 7:30 and left the hotel around 6, thinking we might shop around first. Well we didn't and decided to see if we could be seated early. The host asked if we would wait a moment so he could check on a table. He leaves and I hear a familiar voice. I turn around thinking there is no way it could be, but sure enough, there she was, Lady Gaga, sitting in the bar. She was in a band shirt and had her Italian curls, and she was freaking gorgeous. I stared directly at her, and after a while she stared back at me and asked "What?". I was so freaking starstruck, and even though I knew I shouldn't have, I asked "Are-Are you Lady Gaga?" She nodded, I put my hands in front of my mouth to try and cover the gasp and she waved me over. I don't remember if I walked or ran over to her, but the next thing I do remember is we hugged, I told her I loved her, she told me I was very sweet and that she loved me too. She introduced me to her dad, which it was at that point he told me I needed to calm down so I wouldn't make a scene. I wish I had steeled myself a little more, because I realized how crazy I was probably acting, and I've told myself over and over that if I ever met her, I would just act like she was old friend, or even family member, that I haven't seen in a while, and I just totally made a fool of myself. She told me to enjoy the dinner and that she knew the food at the restaurant was really good. After that, I didn't just want to meet her again, but I wanted to actually become her friend. I know that's a dream like every Monster has, and it may never actually happen for me, but I want to make it a goal in life to become a personal friend of hers. She was there to sing with Bryan Newman and her other jazz buddies after the Cheek to Cheek show. I had jazz brows on so she approached me and we took a few pictures together. Sarah her makeup artist andher came and hung out with us at the bar before she sang a few tunes. She was super down to earth, and fun and it was just like hanging out with some friends at the bar. My profile pic is one of the pictures I got that night. She also took a pic with her phone and posted it on instagram. Pretty surreal and I'm so happy I'm a fan of someone sp approachable and noce to her fans! Dexxx 1,393
Oh, I just love reading all of these stories. So lemme just share mine. Actually, we really didn't meet. I was able to see her close (more or less 1 meter) when she was arriving on her hotel here in the Philippines for her BTWB last 2012. It was a very memorable moment and also a horrible experience. (Not to mention those who protest against her) My friends and I were at the airport the whole day waiting for her and we don't even know if she'd walk out there. #WelcomeToPhilippinesGaga (something like that) also trended on twitter that morning, but we didn't see pictures of her arriving. So we patiently wait again and we even go to Terminal 1-3 simultaneously to get updates (this was very exhausting). It was past 6pm, still no news and we're feeling hopeless. When we were about to leave, we stood to this place where we can see the airplanes and we've seen also a bunch of black cars in line. Of course we think Gaga was there (though she arrived at the hotel with gray limo I think ) We don't know where hotel she'd check in. And it also rain while we're waiting for a taxi. Sad to say this, but there are fans here who are so selfish. They already knew Gaga was checking in to that hotel, but they didn't inform us or even reply to our text. Luckily, we've arrived on the right hotel and there were just a small number of people waiting. We're lucky to be on the 2nd line waiting, and within 5 minutes the number of people tripled. The panic starts when Gaga's bodyguard start showing. Until Gaga's car arrive, and there comes the real disaster. I was overtaken/pushed on to the 4th line. One second we're at peace, then suddenly it was a disaster. Look at this picture how far Gaga is because some fans are just so aggressive. Nobody even gets a picture with her. Some are not even fans so they'll just get a paper bill, and there they'll have Gaga sign it. smh But it was still a good experience, I wasn't able to see her eyes, but her lips is just so cute and attractive. I promised that the next time I meet her, it was in a more peaceful environment(maybe a m&g). I also attended her BTWB, but I was too far from the stage my camera can't even see her. All I ever wanted was 🅻🅾🆅🅴
DancelnTheDark 179
I can't explain into words how I was feeling right back then and how much I look up to this woman. I have met Gaga a couple of times before, but never had the chance to talk to her. My dream was to actually have a conversation with the woman I’ve been admiring since 2009. Thanks to my amazing friend,Valentin Badrieh, we got the chance to go backstage, out of 30 000 people! The moment we got in her dressing room after the Ottawa festival, I was about to cry. She said hi and hugged me. I had a hard time saying hi to her because I was so starstruck and couldn’t believe this moment I was living & the fact that she was sitting right in front of me just a few inches from me. We talked with Gaga for almost half an hour, and let me tell you something. She is the SAME person you see on stage or in interviews. She talked to us like we were real people and not just her fans. She talked about her album with Tony Bennett saying that it is a PURE jazz album and that she is very proud of it. And I also got a chance to meet Asia and Fozzi! Asia was sitting on the floor right under Gaga’s chair, and she picked her up to show her to us and she fell asleep in her arms and I had the chance to pet her! I then heard some weird noise coming from Asia and asked Gaga “Is she snoring?” and she’s like “Yeah!”. It was the cutest thing ever! And she also showed me the dog collar a fan made for Asia and told her I loved it! She also talked about the Yoü & I song and Lüc Carl and I asked her “since you’re not with him anymore, is that the reason why you don’t say Nebraska when you sing it live?” and Gaga said “No I just like to change it up a little bit”. I also told Gaga that Dance In The Dark is my all time favorite song of hers and asked her if she could sing it for me, because I didn’t get to hear it live anymore since the last Monster Ball and she sang ‘’Run, run her kiss is a vampire grin The moon lights away while she's howlin' at him” she sang in this cute soft voice. I was blown away and I just couldn’t believe this was happening to me. I told her that her performance in Ottawa was the best one out of the six shows that I saw live and that I had the time of my life and never jumped & danced & screamed as much as the previous ones. She said ‘’really? What were the 6 shows you went to? ‘’ And told her I saw her at Roseland in New York City, Ottawa and the rest was Montreal. Gaga asked us if we wanted her to sign anything and I asked her if she could sign the back of my white iPhone and my left shoulder to get it tattooed the next day and she said “Sure!”. Then she wanted to take selfies with each and one of us and before she took the pictures, she tried on different shades and I saw the one from the Selfie in a selfie instagram picture she had posted when she was on her way to Ottawa and told her that those glasses are sick! Then, before we got out, I asked her for another hug and she opened her arms to give me a big hug and then we left and Tara gave us this beautiful rose that smelled aaaamazing! I will forever treasure this moment in my heart, because I never thought in a million years this would happen to me. Waiting all day from morning to night in the sun to get front row & having sunburns everywhere on my body was so worth it! And told Gaga that we waited all day and showed her my sunburns and she said “Oh it doesn’t matter, you look fabulous!” I am beyond grateful to Lady Gaga. Without her, I would be lost with no directions. If you keep dreaming, it will happen. — July 2014 with Lady Gaga in Ottawa, Ontario.
Woolfsmck 2,763
She makes time here and there to greet her fans even tho she has a busy schedule most of the time.... Its a longshot for me since I travel for a living and I don't recall being in the same city at the same time she was. If I get the chance to see a her show, I will, but that seems like the best chance for me. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still.
