Beautiful and touching speech from Cynthia and from Gaga herself, and the intro video was really fantastic too. It's such a wonderful time to be a Gaga fan, it's events like this that just make me feel very proud which is maybe strange because I don't know her, but I do feel proud and inspired. All the media nonsense and fan wars and drama of the past few years seems completely laughable when you watch this and see how much she's accomplished, how admired and respected she is by entertainment legends and when you're reminded of what a great singer/songwriter she is. She poured her damn heart into that performance and it was heartbreaking! She proved them all wrong, the doubters that said "she seeks attention to hide her lack of talent" etc. It is just God damn ignorant that this, as a fanbase, has been trying to tell FOR YEARS and they finally realise. I always love it when she does like a piano only version of a song first then kicks in the band and all that drums to make the second part of the song have a secondary level effect... something like when she does ARTPOP on Jimmy Kimmel if you get what I mean.
