The pair of Moroccan refugees, aged 16 and 19, had travelled from their home country to Sweden. Once there, they followed a gay man back to his home in Bergsjön after he offered them clothes and food upon hearing they were in need. However after arriving at the apartment the two refugees allegedly beat him to death, police claim. The attack, which is alleged to have happened in June, then took a brutal turn as the gay man had a dead snake wrapped around his neck. He was then dressed in women's clothes by the pair. Police have charged the 16-year-old with hate crime murder, while the second man, 19, has been charged with aiding and abetting a criminal. The 16-year-old says he was acting in self-defence after the man tried to have sex with him. Not all refugees are like this and of course this violence shouldn't go unnoticed but I'm so sick and tired of this "us" vs. "them" discussion. There is only "us", all of us.
