It doesn't mean she has a disorder.

Her mind is constantly going, always churning up another idea. I think sometimes she gets lost in her thoughts and starts to lose touch with reality. I think its more likely that she has a form of OCD. I have OCD, everyday is such a struggle, there's somebody else in my mind & it's not me, that's how I think of it... you're automatically set for self-destruction, I truly hope one day they have better drugs that can specifically target the circuitry neurons in the brain that trigger the Obsessive thoughts, Anxiety caused by them & natural Compulsive behavior. James Coopridge 73
It's "Lady Gaga" who is fearless and Stefani who is insecure.
Nicole 1,809
It's already been mentioned - but yeah, depression and anxiety can and probably will cause a sense of insecurity in the individual - that's coming from someone with first hand experience. But at the same time, I feel like gaga's sense of "fearlessness" does come from the place of a "persona" but also because it's coming from a place where she knows she's got talent (singing, songwriting etc). Excelling in something, I've found, can produce a sense of fearlessness, or confidence, when doing that particular activity. Kind of like her being fearless on stage, doing what she's good at, and coming off stage where you're left with your own mind and thoughts that those insecurities really start to set in. Haroon 49,685
I don't think they're mutually exclusive You can be fearless in what you do and push boundaries and all of that because you want to and you're driven, but you can still feel insecure about parts of you being criticised and shot at A fearless person can still have vulnerable parts of themselves that they don't like to show or have made jabs at
