Red 98,041
What does it have to do with specifically TIHTY or The Hunting Ground? If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
UC PiXELVISION 353
Yeah, there's a ton of proof that Sulkowitz lied. There are texts from AFTER the alleged rape where she said she still wants him. And then she made a freaky ****o. Not cute. And now the poor dude's life is ruined because OBVIOUSLY people are gonna rally behind, you know, the "strong woman who stood up" even if she lied about it. In Boudet's letter, which was obtained by the Hollywood Reporter, Winston's lawyer threatens legal action. "We are writing to formally caution CNN that the portions of the film The Hunting Groundpertaining to Mr. Winston are false and defamatory to Mr. Winston," the letter says. "We urge CNN to reconsider the reckless decision to proceed with the broadcast of this deeply-flawed documentary in the face of the overwhelming evidence the film's producers consciously and intentionally failed to adhere to any accepted journalistic standards." did the doc talk about the jameis winston case a lot? I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

Manul 7,377
*Girls and boys that get drunk and/or drugged, have sex with randoms and then claim they got raped. *Girls and boys that make "relationships" in the span of a day or two, have sex with their "partner", get dumped, so suddenly those girls and boys are victims of rape. *Girls and boys that claim they got raped in order to frame theit exes as revenge. *Girls and boys that claim they got raped in hope of making some fast cash and fame. And other rather delicate cases which aren't that commonplace. The most commonplace one is the first imo and also the most stupid. It's not rape, it's called being stupid - you totally lose control while under the effect of drinks and drugs, you can literally make homophobes have sex with other men while they are under that influence. If you get in it willingly, you know the consequences very well. And to make another point, you'll notice that I start with girls every time, because females are the ones that claim they are victims of "rape" the most, and of course they are the ones that get the most sympathy and exposure about it. If a male comes out and says he got raped on the other hand, he faces discrimination and shaming. Just my 2 cents here, you don't see this average ass documentary talking about these cases. it wasn't laaaahv

Miel 15,009
Yikes. Not directed to anybody in particular, but don't let this become a breeding ground for something that ends up turning into victim blaming. Have had way too many discussions where "they always sympathize behind the girl/nobody listens to the guy" turns into "don't believe them". Not saying that's gonna happen here, because I fully believe we are all smart enough not to take that route, but take heed. 3 points in and ready for more
