TerrenceV2 2,001
Since the beginning of the ARTPOP era, everything was against Gaga, the singles, organization, success, acclaim, the app. She was too focused on being artsy, and by that, I mean weird and provocative. The album only had 3 (or 2?) singles, Applause, with the Katy Perry feud "Roar vs Applause". Venus was cancelled and they released Do What U Want instead, which that actually was the best single from the album, but unfortunately, they decided to not release the music video. And then she finished with G.U.Y., a massive music video that at the end failed to succeed, sadly. In other words, ARTPOP was an extremely messy era that made Gaga the underdog of the music industry. 2015 has been a year of renovation as we all know for sure. All her performances have been made to purposely show off her beautiful vocals. Grammy, Oscars, European Games, Frank Sinatra, Cheek to Cheek Tour, AHS: H, TIHTY, Woman of the Year, nominations, awards and awards. She quitted dressing in extreme weird outfits and instead chooses to dress in classy designer pieces. People are no longer looking at her as another attention seeking pop-star and they are starting to notice her true humble talents. I think LG5 will be the defining key and most important decision of her life, she could destroy everything she has gained this year or she could slay with a bang! Acclaim and respect is everything she's got this year and she would want to continue that streak. Obviously, it will be a classic "Gaga" album with upbeat, synth music. But she will make full use of her vocals, no autotune at all like she has stated before that they force her voice to sound robotic in her last albums. "She declared to us, with complete sincerity and confidence that she would never auto-tune her voice again. She is so ready to sing and put out an album on her own with just her voice and a piano. It was something that I've wanted for years, I was so excited to hear that she's already writing music for it." She should go a little experimental and avant-garde, mature sound, or she could go into a slower Adele-esque direction. I honestly believe her next album will be her best one yet. Her next album is the make or break album of her career at this point if she still wants to steal the main spotlight and get her place in the music industry again. I'm sure LG5 will be unlike anything she has released. and her BEST! This time, she truly has her life together and getting plenty of time to design a product of real quality! Her new marvelous manager, I bet he probably already has her promotional schedule NAILED by now, coldly calculated! LADY GAGA IS COMING FOR SOULS! What do you think? playground love - josef salvat
Guest ARTPOPSlays
I don't know what it will be like, but I know that I will love it! I don't really care about commercial success, I don't get why people do in the first place.
Harry 26,836
I think we should stop hyping this up to the heavens and talking about how massive it could be and just let it happen. This was part of the problem with ARTPOP too. We don't know what will happen and we don't know what it will sound like, or how well people will react. Scoring critical acclaim with some performances and putting out a great album that's received well by the public are two different things. I appreciate your optimism, but... calling it make or break, saying it will be her best album ever, the most important decision of her life... It's all a little much. She survived ARTPOP and still found a way to be a force in entertainment this year. This level of expectation is just a bit silly imo.
Dangerous Man 9,245
I bet LG5 will be an album for her redemption on chart and sales. She said she's going back to her roots so I expect a The Fameish sound, those sounds that sell but still edgy or avant-garde. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Bebe 17,093
I mean, I'm sure it will be a succesful album. Whether it's successful as some members here would like is another story completely. From the little we have heard, including the lack of auto-tune and such, I think it's shaping up to be a more mature album which is great. Hopefully she delivers some great music and we get more than a couple of great music videos and performances.

SlaeUrAnus 15,955
Come on, no wonder fanbases hate us. We all praise the next Gaga album as "the next big thing". We did that with ARTPOP and look what happened. In all honesty, I guarantee that LG5 will be critically claimed, but it would not surprise me if it panned commercial wise, literally. I am not being negative, just my version of realism. In my messy era.
abracaluca 540
This is why I'm glad Gaga hasn't started hyping people yet about LG5 , she's given us no information. Theres always a group in this fanbase that begin hyping before gaga does , it happened with born this way , it happened with ARTPOP. How about instead of focusing on how "gaga's gonna get the gp back on side" and how "gaga is gonna redeem herself on the chart" actually focus on the ****ing music ? Y'all spend way to much time talking about the ARTPOP era and how "you could have done it better" and how "these are your plans for LG5" but really how about you all get on with your school work instead of over analysing everything

Creyk 17,805
Writing an album just to get acclaim is dumb. First of all, who would she even have to appeal to? Snotty, middle-aged music critics who judge the persona way more than the actual music? Or the GP? Many successful albums get amazing sales and success, proving that the opinions of critics are meaningless.
Brooke Hoegan 1,018
Please, don't hype, that was the main factor that destroyed ARTPOP The only thing that will bring her success is whether music will be good or not. This year won't rescue shiitty album, if something like that happens. Let the music speak for itself (when it's actually released, especially since we really know nothing about the album)
