I think she's been a more successful pop artist, yeah, in terms of output and consistency. She's the girl you can always count on to bring something exciting, fresh and current. I don't listen to her much and of course I think Gaga's more talented, but as a pop star I think Rihanna "does a better job" so to speak. If I could remove some years from Gaga's career she would've been higher though. But the fact that she lost her central place of superstardom quite early on in her career and hasn't succeeded yet in pushing herself back to the forefront (in a pop music setting) convinced me that her career, until now, deserves a lower spot than Rihanna's, if that makes sense. Really? Have you been watching Rihanna in 2015? She is the most lazy, boring popstar atm imo.

Well, I happen to love this era (in contrast, actually, to her other stuff) because the quality is kicked up a notch, though I know that everyone's complaining she's not doing (things fast) enough. Still, that's only one year. Her output and consistent reinvention and connected success before 2014 is nothing short of spectacular.

I think that the new music is the worst the she has done til now but that's subjective... I mean as a performer she is below average (she has gotten better tho because she used to be absolutely bad),she doesn't even have one damn album that is good in full, she doesn't write her songs. The only good thing I can find about her is her old bop singles and her special tone

I probably should've put Gaga above her, I see that now, but I still stand by my point that Rihanna, to me, is one of the only noteworthy (mainstream) pop artists we have, so she belongs high on a list like this to me. Idk. I never listened to Rated R in full tbh. Because everyone was saying that Loud was her best album and when I listened to it I was like I think that she DEFINITELY is an important figure for pop music mostly cause of her popularity and bops. Everything is subjective so I can't really say that you are wrong or that I am right. But I am happy that you agreed that Gaga should be above ha. Or about Gaga being so "low" She's not. She's below amazing people. And like I argued in the post, the list would've been 1. Beyoncé; 2. Madonna; 3. Lady Gaga if it weren't for inconsistency. That's not a bad place to be Beyoncé's higher because she excels in vocals, dancing and acting, Madonna's higher because of her amazing catalogue. This isn't about whose music or career I enjoy the most. This is about who I think does the best job at being a pop artist. no,its was about gaga ..i feel, she should be in the top 3, at least. i don't have any problem with Rihanna..she's my bae Call me by your name and I'll call you by mine
