she has moments when her physical acting is on a par with the very best, better than many much more seasoned actors.  Her readings are up and down, but her potential really seems limitless.

Her improvements over the season have shown me that she is listening to her directors and is self-aware enough to know what aspects need improving. The last scene of episode 10 was just spectacular.

Diamond Heart

7.

Gaga can be hit or miss imo. Sometimes her delivery is fantastic and sometimes its a little flat. She lacks the delicate movements and gestures (physically & with her delivery) that seasoned actors have. Which is expected since its her first major role. But the fact that there is clear improvement with her acting throughout the season makes me think that inexperience is Gaga's problem, not that she lacks talent. She just needs more time to work on her ability.

Gaga has pleasantly surprised me with her acting though, she has completely surpassed my expectation and im really excited for her future roles.

Y'all are hard to please. 9/10 for me I won't say it was a perfect acting, but nonetheless it was really impressive esp as a beginner in acting industry. Her emotions, gestures, facial expressions, all of them were delivered well!

Really? Just exactly how many current actresses filmographies have you followed to the extent that you have Gaga's performance on AHS?

There are several PROFESSIONAL/trained actresses who would run rings around Gaga in terms of "this classic quality".

Too numerous to name individually. Of course we are talking about professionally-trained actresses, not someone whose "stunt-casting" has inspired wild-eyed and sycophantic praise from those who've followed her musical career.

I'm working in the film and television industry, I know a little bit about what I'm talking about, so please feel free to take a seat.

I love how you love to hate whatever she's doing nowadays. A quick browse through your replies show nothing less of you're gracious criticism for Gaga.

I believe that. Several first year film students doing internships have inflated opinions of themselves (and their knowledge of film history). IMO, based on your statement, you seem to lack even a clue about classic cinema.

Especially, this part:

"She has this classic quality to her that I've never seen in anyone else nowadays".

So, you are saying that NO ONE ELSE (even Cate Blanchett, Meryl Streep, and countless others) have "this classic quality"?

That's ludicrous.

I'll admit I was skeptical during the first couple episodes, her acting was a bit stiff but now I realize that it's only because that's what her character was supposed to be. But now she's allowed to show more range, I love when she's vulnerable or angry. I think she's improved immensely over the past few weeks. You guys have to remember that this is her first major role, and I think she's doing great.

6 at first, mostly for her body language rather than delivery.

9 now.

10 when she's yelling. She's oddly good at that.

My favorite Countess moment by far, Evan Peters looks genuinely scared of her.

she's the Queen of silent acting. She should've lived in the silent film age. Her movement and facial expressions are MAJOR

I´d say the exact opposite... I think that her movement is pretty awkward at times, for example her very first scene in ep 1 when she is preparing to go out, or the way she was sitting herself on the chair when having dinner with March, it´s like she´s lacking confidence in her moves sometimes... but that´s just my oppinion of course :)

Other than that and that weird accent, I´d say she´s doing a great job :applause: not a proffesional yet, but she´s getting there, the scene with March´s faceslap was everything  I´d give her a 7 :nick:

I'm 23 years old and have been a professional costumer for 2 years now, so keep your clichés for yourself. My opinion is not inflated - it's just my opinion, and I don't force anyone to agree with it.

REALITY

I like it when she screams her lines... Is that weird?

Anyways, I'd rate her a 7 overall. She's certainly improving, and this past episode ("She Wants Revenge") had an amazing scene with Gaga and Natasha was amazing! The way, Gaga just shot her and said "Who's the little mouse now!" gave me chills :flutter:

You sound really bitter. I'm not being boastful when I say I'm someone who knows what makes a quality performance. My brothers, dad and uncle have a collection of films that's in the thousands and I've been pretty lucky to grow up with it. Gaga has a demeanor and style on screen that's very unique and engaging. She's far from being the only modern star with this quality but it's nonetheless impressive and exciting. You should back up your criticism with something other than your vapid claim that her fans are too biased.
