Reality 71,881
I don't think he has an obligation to say "I LOVE YOU TOO!", I'm sure he's heard it a billion times and might just be tired. I'll say that it seemed kind of rude that he didn't even look at her...

Pity Party 743
Could you imagine how the media would drag Gaga if she did this? And I'm cringing at the people in this thread defending this disgusting kid.

Mobster 14,604
He could have just said "Thank you" or even "I love you, too", it's not like he doesn't tweet it Also, very interesting to see how nice he is, when he knows the cameras are rolling ย However, I'll cut him some slack, because as I've said lots of times before, he was thrown into that whole lifestyle too early ... I just hope he receives the help he needs But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

His job is to make music. It's other people's choice to listen or not, and become a fan or not.ย Saying he owes her **** is like me saying "GaGa owes me a reason for not coming out that door on time." Like seriously. How messedย up are you? I understand where you're coming from, and I agree that he doesn't have the responsibility to say hello to every single fan outside. However, notice that we're not talking about wether he had the responsibility to say hi to her, but rather IF he had decided to greet her, what was the right thing to say. You point out that saying something like: 10 hours ago, Resquid said: What else is he supposed to say... "I love you too random crazy fan!"? doesn't sound right, which is ironic given the fact that that's precisely what he should say. This is not a problem of whether Bieber acknowledges his fans or not. The problem is that he does, and not in the right way. The sociology of fame is rather complicated in the sense that the relationship between celebrity and fan is a very strange one. Neither the fan nor the artist haveย any responsibility towards the other. However, there's a logical assumption that they're both tied by a debt of gratitude, that is: the fan is grateful to the artist for putting their artistry out there and making them feel good and entertained; and the artist is grateful to the fan for supporting them and buying their stuff. This gratitude is the logical conclusion an artist should reach if they're mature enough. You can see it very clearly in Gaga, who completely understand the nature of the relationship between her and her fans, and while she not always acknowledges her fans (because just like Bieber it's simply not possible), when she actually does, her approach is consistentlyย one of friendliness and gratitude. Because that's what the relationship actually is. She understands it. It's not fake. When a fan tells Bieber "I love you" and he doesn't reply, there's no harm. It's understandable. But when he decides to reply and say something like "Yeah, nice", it's plain obvious that he is not mature enough to understand the nature of their relationship.ย He is not acting logically; he doesn't understandย the social queues. This leads to the conclusion that every nice thing he says to fans is faked, because he doesn't actually understand this relationship. Bieber being immature and all, treats his fans like ****, and on the other hand his fans are also not mature enough to understand that his behaviour is stupid and reprehensible. So they are both trappedย in a circle of delusion and immaturity. Which is kinda beautiful in a twisted way. Oh, I'm just visiting-
RAMROD 104,212
I would say "thanks (that is nice of you)" Say "yeah nice" sounds like he's having a bad day? IDK he seems moody lately.
