She used "ball" from her very first tour Fame Ball. But after 6 years, some of us still think Gaga meant her tours as volleyball, soccer ball,... Should have just left it at artRave
DietCoke 386
Kinda off topic but I think "ball" is in reference to what the drag queen community used to call drag shows. Queens would get all dressed up and show off their best dancing, modeling, etc.
PrinceGaga 7,585
Maybe 'ball' is a nod to her being an hermaphrodite inb4 Adam and Eve's Ball(s) -The Garden of Eden World Tour
Bradley 59,023
No, it's amazing. It distinguishes her tours from her rivals' which I consider to be more ordinary in comparison with Gaga's. I understand why artRAVE was deemed a 'RAVE' instead of a 'ball' but I'm glad she included the word into the name eventually. It's like a tradition and it sustains the Gaga spirit in them. TMC 64
I think it depends on the album name and the era in general. If it were called Eden for example, The Eden Ball sounds fabulous and ethereal..
