  1. 1. Should Lana Del Rey have been chosen as the singer of the 'Spectre' theme song, or was Sam Smith the right choice?

According to Lana Del Rey's interview with NME, she was fully awaiting being the chosen one to sing the next James Bond theme song. However, that moment never came. Lana says, "I would’ve done it if I was asked but I wasn’t asked. I love all of the Bond music that’s been put out over the years and I love soundtracks in general."

As Billboard reports,

"Del Rey seems to feel someone missed the other writing on the wall -- that at least two of her songs, "24" and "Swan Song" off her last album Honeymoon, would have been perfect additions to such other famous Bond songs as Shirley Bassey's iconic "Goldfinger".

The were many criticisms about Sam Smith's "Writing's on the Wall" and some feel that another singer should have been chosen. Critics point to the fact that the song is too sensitive. Responding to the criticism, Sam Smith told the Los Angeles,

"That's what I do. I thought it would be really different to have a song that was like a diary entry from Bond."

That statement is kind of polarizing, if not aggravating.

What do you think, should Lana have been chosen as the voice of Spectre or was Sam a good choice?

Lana is the most suitable person for such songs. Her voice is a movie itself. Listen to Big Eyes by her.

Sam was good choice. I hope they never ask her, never liked her voice or way of singing, she's boring and puts me to sleep. Sorry.

Carly is bubblegum pop and Brooke is hip hop. I'm not quite sure I understand the logic of how you came to this decision

She would be perfect for it. Maybe it will still happen for the next movie.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
