I guess my need to comment arose from the fact that this thread is titled "Islamophobe roasted on live TV" but I couldn't see the part where he was actually being Islamophobic? He's a supporter of Trump's "Muslim ban" you don't get any more islamophobic than that. Claiming that majority of Muslims support terrorism is not only wrong but it's fear mongering and islamophobia. Was he Islamophobic because he had inaccurate information (which nobody in the video actually corrects btw)? The only thing that this video makes me think is that Islamophobia seems a rather useful word to shut down anyone who dares to speak up against Islamic religions, and I'm not ok with that. When you pull "studies and polls" out of your ass to promote a discriminatory proposal that bans all Muslims (even American ones) from entering the US you are indeed Islamophobic. There needs to be more people like that working on the news. I remember once, a guy was interviewing people on their thoughts on Obama, and this woman was like "he's awful! he's taking away all our rights!" and so he was like "okay, what rights specifically do you think have been taken away" and the woman was just like "I......I don't know it just feels like there's less of them" like..........it was so tragic Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I agree with that. When you attack actual individuals based on preconcieved notions about their religion, then you are entering the terrain of discrimination. Not letting muslims into your country is discrimination; asking muslims to register as such and carry ids is discrimination. When you make claims about the amount of muslims who adhere to islamic extremism (whatever that means) you are not being islamophobic, and that is my whole issue with the video.
