She doesnt want to be criticized, obviously. She had no problem with being crazy back in her early days when it worked and people kept being amazed by the things she came up with.

Hmm..

My own personal theory is that she was able to be so crazy because she had an entire creative team behind her that was supportive of her. Given the hints she gave all through 2013 I think it's obvious that most of those people abandoned her (for money, as Gaga implied).

I don't claim this to be true, but I often wondered if this is the reason why ARTPOP was so creatively underwhelming and she's had to rely on covers (C2C, The Sound of Music, I Want Your Love, tribute performances,...), collaborative endeavors (AHS, Tom Ford fashion film, the Emotion speaking thing,...) and other people (Tony, Ryan, even Taylor) to still be in the public eye without having to be creative at all for the past two years. It could also be an explanation for why she had to repeat that she found herself again a million times, clearly taking distance from her usual persona (even literally in the Emotion interview: "I created Lady Gaga to cope with my depression"). The first time I noticed that was when she did the 2013 Ellen interview and basically just looked like some dumb celeb who just talked about her boyfriend (something she refused to do up to that year). Maybe she's trying to reinvent herself as a "normal girl", focusing on her vocal talent, because the people who could successfully create her larger-than-life personality are no longer there and she can't do it herself :emma:

In any case, whether or not there is an ounce of truth to this, her next era will be a sight to see for a million reasons. But anyway, it gives an alternative to your "she doesn't want to be criticized" theory.

Are you complimenting Gaga by saying that she is already a breakout star?

No, I just disagree with your assessment of AHS season 1 and Jessica Lang

Sure there are artists who rose to stardom with just one single project, but for TV shows, at least in my opinion, I think the chemistry becomes stronger and stronger over seasons. I didn't like Game of Thrones and American Horror Story that much when I was watching their season ones, but it grew a lot on me after seasons 2 and 3 started airing. Why are Angela Bassett, Lily Rabe, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates the ones that first pop up in mind when we talk about AHS? These actresses have stayed with the show for at least three seasons. I mean who thinks of Zachary Quinto, James Cromwell, Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton when it comes to AHS? Gaga has been amazing thus far but if she wants her acting career to develop, she needs to do some more seasons.

Ive thought this for a long time ( Since after MTN). Im waiting to for LG5 to see if its true. My hypothesis  is that Lorianne Gibson played a bigger role in creative then Gaga wants us to believe and since she left shes just trying to keep it together. We havent had any real time to see how true this is except for ARTPOP which obviously wasent as creative as her past projects. So yea LG5 for me will be the moment when we see if Gaga is really this creative person she claims.

This would be a very good decision. It's just the right time to change her image totally. And good for her she has the talent to bring instead. We've already seen people like Marilyn Manson who drowned in their own image while their talent was drowning in alcohol and drugs

I think its because they are re a curing characters. I think of Lang and Even Peters tbh they are the originals

I agree tho she needs to do more acting (In general) if she wants to develop her craft

I agree... There are so many artists out there trying to be extravagant... During the Fame (Monster) her creativity stood out comlpetely from the rest of the mainstream pop acts... but now it's become a trend and nothing is really shocking anymore... Considering it's also a very expensive move, she might do a full switch to "normal"... It's long overdue tbh, the public has waited a long time for Gaga to "fit in"... Every time she does, people love talking about it... Everytime she's not wearing that much make-up, when she dresses glamorously or when she's singing covers, people love commenting on it... It would be an interesting move :excited:

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

REALITY

She's not talking about her art, maybe her outlandish costumes, because as we've seen, she's been toning down in that department quite a bit. That said, she's still "Gaga", but now she's just showing that in a different way.

Sad actually. Cause shes letting the fear get to her

Well yes losing important members of her team definitely hurt her, just look at her choreos for example....but IDK....is it really that hard to keep those ideas going? Most of them don't seem to be that complicated but I'm not sure, we should see what is going on behind the scenes to really know that
