She's not listed, but honorable mention to Ellie Goulding. Her album is number 100 on iTunes and her lead single just didn't gain traction.

I went with Rihanna though. That awkward release of BBHMM and American Oxygen (was there another one?) was pretty incredible :flop:

Props to Carly Rae, tbh. I don't know if the album did super well or not, but it's actually pretty good.

3 points in and ready for more

Focus was a pretty moderate flop, but I personally really enjoyed some of the video. Not the part where Ari stares at the camera, but some parts of the video were pretty cool (the circular spinning thing, the black and white star outfits.) Even though it was really similar to Problem, I still like it better...

But the fact that Tidal has powerhouses like Beyonce and Nicki Minaj supporting it is kinda what made it such a big flop.

The hate for Ariana Grande and Focus is so strong. Except that she is still selling roughly 35k to 40k a week just on iTunes and the video was Vevo certified less than a month since its release and will probably hit 200 million views (it's currently at 161 million) by the end of its second month and reviewed by Billboard as the best performance at the AMAs. and #11 World wide on Spotify. Way above other artists that people are saying are having great eras. Lol but whatever.

No one flopped harder than Carly Rae. Only about 90k people worldwide bought that album? Wait what's Selena's Revival's worldwide album sales total, maybe she flopped harder.

Flop for me is more of a relative term. Like Pretty Girls peaked in the Top 40 and many artists would be happy with that. But Britney always gets better performing songs than that and iggy was coming off of a hot streak, so it was expected to do much better. So in the case of Ariana, id say she flopped because she went from a lead single debut of 400K'ish to 100K'ish. And a debut at #7 is nice, but she hasn't seen the top 10 since that debut. But no, i don't personally feel it was the biggest flop of the year, just not a good moment for her. There is no denying that video is great though.

Writing's on the Wall.

What executive was like "Yes, this song fits James Bond perfectly. Let's make it the opening theme for Spectre, the movie about an organization that has been in the James Bond films since pretty much the start. Yeah that's a great idea!"  I wanna slap the sh*t out of that guy.

Wait, you just reminded me that it wasn't nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media. Was it not nominated or was it only eligible for 2017's Grammys? :duck:

So it wasn't nominated. It was released on 25th September.

I guess not. It's the weakest Bond song I've heard in a while. He's a much better writer than that.

Rat Boy

Rebel Heart was not a flop! It had a top 90 hit (Bitch I'm Godonna). Living For Love was also at the top of the bubbling under charts. :neyde:

I think Rebel Heart was the biggest flop.

Now, I LOVE the Album, but it just didn't get the success it deserved. It had two major Television Performances, a video premiering over Snapchat, a video with tons of Celebs in them etc. That's a lot. And for it not even selling 1M worldwide then, is a flop.

To be a flop isn't even something bad. It happens. Everyone has their lows. Rebel Heart just didn't deserve this because it's Madge's strongest Album since COADF.
