That's not shade.

Time will tell where all of the artists of today stand in relation to the artists of the past. That's a simple statement of truth and isn't shading anyone.

No shade, just truth...

ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.

Didn't she cover Rolling in the Deep on her last album? It doesn't make any sense to cover a song by someone and then turn around and "shade" them. I swear some people here are so thirsty for controversy :toofunny:

By the time you reach the end of this sentence, it'll be too late to realize I just wasted your time with a pointless sig.

Only time will tell where I stand in a few years from now on. For now I'm locked in Gaga's Red Room of Pain.

I don't think she meant it as shade, just that it takes more than sales to make a legend. It takes ability and time. Aretha would certainly know this, she has always had talent but time helped to develop that talent to reach her ultimate potential and cement her status as a legendary singer.

I certainly think Adele is worthy. With time I think her writing, stage presence, and vocals will be at the master level. Her voice is already incredible and her writing not the least bit shabby (though I know some would like her to branch into different topics). She can certainly turn any song into a personal one, there's a lot of emotion there.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
