Slayer 9,227
Gaga keeps referring to this phrase in interviews and has done so for quite a while. We know that she did this with Born This Way and ARTPOP, so how would you feel if The Art of Darkness was the title of LG5? Personally, I think it sounds like an epic title and I like that it refers to The Heart of Darkness, BUT. The word 'art' puts me off for obvious reasons. What about you? I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!
PMKKARDASHiAN 8,570
If she wants to follow the darkness theme, why not omit art in every way. "Into the darkness" "of darkness" or just simple "the darkness" Honestly, darkness anything is an intriguing concept, but as far as an album title... idk
Didymus 34,379
Like I said in the other thread about it, it would be cool, looking at her discography: The Fame The Fame Monster Born This Way ARTPOP Art of Darkness I'd like the contrast with ARTPOP just as I liked it for TF/TFM and I love Heart of Darkness so if it featured the basic theme that novel is famous for, it could also be a nice play-on-words. Dark Anatomy 2,284
Well, I mean I want her to be true to her creativity. If "Art of Darkness" is the album title then I will deal with it. However, I don't think it would be smart to include the word art in any of her songs or titles. It was a HUGE turn off during the ARTPOP era. At this point she should let the material be the art instead of trying make art the material. Honestly I feel like it's just a theme of the album. But then the reverse Warholian bs promo pic appeared and thàt's when everyone mocked her, with reason. But yeah, I'm quite sure she wouldn't choose the title for this reason anyway

However, I do agree with you in the aspect that using the word "art" as a title does build a lot of expectancy. More than anything I want the presentation to be more cohesive and professional this era, even if the word "art" is plastered in every damn song. Lol. It does fit nicely though... "The Fame", "The Fame Monster" "Born This Way" "ARTPOP" "Art of Darkness" In that case i'm hoping that ARTPOP was like The Fame and Art of Darkness will be like TFM. Jk. PopReaper 2,231
I wouldn't mind it, but I think there are better options, it sounds a little bit too long and plain to me for some reason. I do think it' a synthesis of what the album will be about and how it will look like tho. 7 minutes ago, Didymus said: I really think that was due to the presentation. That promo picture gets even messier when you look at it now All the broken promises and overstatements Fun Fact: The K in KPop stands for "Kate Bush"

What confuses me about it is if whoever made that even thought Gaga's team could even pull something like that off. I mean, the app was obviously underdeveloped at that time so why would you even promise something something revolutionary when it can't do any more than make gifs yet? Troy must've really screwed up if she decided to sacrifice that entire project over waiting until she was done with the era tho.
