Gaga could be as successful as Adele

Starting with 21 and continuing with 25, Adele has brought huge album sales to the music industry. But why is she so successful? Well, I think it all comes down to her vocal talent, relate-able lyrics, and that fact that she focuses on ballads. So we all know Adele has great vocal talent, she always sings about very relate-able human emotions (love, nostalgia, breakups, ect), and she focuses on ballads (which is the genre that almost any type of person could enjoy, as opposed to how all the other genres are usually associated with different groups of people). So could Gaga follow this formula and nail those three categories I mentioned? I say yes. First, I have to say that almost any artist can create a ballad and relate-able lyrics; they just need the right producers. The difficult part is having the vocal talent that Adele has and the emotion she puts in songs. This is that part that very few artist in the mainstream can do right now. However Gaga is one of those artists that can. In fact, Gaga not only has a great voice too, but she is actually far more versatile than Adele when it comes to vocals.

Now I am not saying that she should copy Adele or follow her footsteps, and I also don't necessarily want her to, I just realized that Gaga is capable to appealing to a lot of people and be as successful as Adele if she follows a similar formula.

No.

Gaga already peaked commercially and influentially in 2009-2011

Accept it and move on.

Erm.. no.

If Gaga had started out singing emotional love songs she would never have become famous. Some artists like Adele can do minimal stuff simply because their entire physical presence is marketable, from the voice to the body to the clothing,... Adele's success doesn't lie in the fact that she's a great singer or that she sings emotional ballads, it lies in the fact that every single aspect of her can be sold to a public that will respond positively with minimal effort.

Gaga doesn't have that.

And so what, I doubt Gaga would be happy singing ****ing ballads. I get what you mean and you're not saying Gaga should follow in Adele's footsteps but these "I'm not saying Gaga should do it, but she COULD be as iconic as Adele right now in theory so really, even though she's not even in the public eye rn, technically she's still amazing and groundbreaking and genius" tricks are really embarrassing.

No thank you.

I prefer Gaga to be Gaga and Adele to be Adele.

No one else is going to sell like Adele. Just accept that fact and enjoy whatever music you enjoy without wishing for unrealistic things to happen!

I am not talking about her actually being that successful again, I am just saying that if she were to follow a similar formula to Adele, and with her vocal talent, she could potentially be as successful. Plus, Gaga is too unconventional and polarizing to be as safe like Adele anyways. So is likely not to happen.

I would say her success lies in all of those things.

Gaga is already paving her own legacy, though. I'm appreciative that she makes no discernible effort to be relatable. Instead, she is more focused on speaking from a very specific perspective. Many of Adele's songs, though of usually excellent quality, could have been written by anyone. When you hear a Gaga song, you know exactly who wrote it.

Well, with "every single aspect of her" I do include her voice and songwriting. But people who think that that's enough to break through just don't get how Adele's entire (non-)persona helped massively in even encouraging people to talk about her. She was the anti-pop star, the antithesis of pop acts around that time and that was her golden ticket to fame.

From my OP, "Now I am not saying that she should copy Adele or follow her footsteps, and I also don't necessarily want her to, I just realized that Gaga is capable to appealing to a lot of people and be as successful as Adele if she follows a similar formula."
