Being native New Yorker does not mean a thing. There are reasons why there only 12 peoples that achived EGOT. And it takes years to comolete them. Tony Award is the toughest to win. That one is not counts becaus they won for technical category (Outstanding Picture Editing for a Special (Single or Multi-Camera)) It is only counts if one have award for best supporting role or best actor/actress category. JustPokeHerFace 2,564 Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 I think that the possibilities of her getting an Oscar for TIHTY are the most likely as of now. She performed for that luncheon that had a bunch of people on the Academy in attendance, and with the way she performed at the Oscars last year, she could get a nomination or even a win. I think she could get an Emmy as well, but probably not for AHS. The only people from AHS to win so far are Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange. Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, and Angela Basset are deserving of one (and that's only mentioning this season, Frances Conroy immensely deserves one as well), and I think those three would be awarded an Emmy before Gaga. As she gets acting experience, I think she can get one in the future. As other posters have stated, a Tony would probably be the last award Gaga receives, be it a writing credit in a play or actually performing on stage. I think she will get one at one point, but it'll be after she's decided to shy away from the commercial spotlight, or if/when she has kids, as Broadway is a pretty steady commitment. Tldr: I think Gaga can and will get the EGOT status, but it will take time. I think out of the three left, an Oscar is the most probable in the short term. I'm not quite sure if that's correct though. She didn't receive an Emmy because she wasn't nominated for the Monster Ball tour special on HBO. Her editing team won though. If she and Tony would have won recently for the PBS special, it would have counted towards the EGOT. An Emmy is an Emmy. In the EGOT, the Emmy must be for a "competitive, individual (non-group) category." So if she and Tony would have won, it may not have counted. However the Emmy is NOT limited to those two acting categories in the EGOT. Richard Rogers was the first to win an EGOT, and his Emmy was for Original musical composition.
