The synth does sound very The Fame so if that's what you were going for, good job!

Really though it needs a lot more. More layers, bass and work on the percussion will help this sound much better. As of now it sounds quite bare, but as you know and clearly understand what style you're going for it shouldn't be too hard.

Keep working, add some more harmony and play with bass and more ambient synths as well! Another good thing to start playing with is the Mixer, cuz you can add reverbs and other effects to specific synths as opposed to the entire project. :) I can't wait to hear more of it!
