Why haven't Gaga and Kendrick tried to collaborate since 2012?

I took it as them not being able to agree on their sound. Their managements weren't having it too, apparently. I'm sure they still respect each other as artists, but I do feel bad about the fact that Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe has become so huge in the Hip Hop community knowing that Gaga could have been a part of it.

Yeah, but why haven't they tried to make another song since then? To Pimp and ARTPOP were written and produced in overlapping timelines, and while Kendrick was touring with Kanye, Gaga wasn't touring at all (after her hip and all). Kendrick wrote a lot of the album while touring too, so.... WHY.

Maybe they realized they're just too different to collaborate? Or they are just too busy to meet and spend several days together. We can't know for sure, but I hope they decide to work together again! I love Kendrick's music. :)

From what i can picture from this, if they're going to do something together ever again it would had to be something organic and that any of both really felt like they were both needed to complete the song. Not some forced thing. Clearly they don't hang out for that to happen.

Also amongst people this busy, something i believe no one on this forum might ever be able to imagine how it's like, having the time to meet each other, chances might be really slim.

I like "Bitch dont kill my vibe" with him alone. I dont like the demo so much, her voice is there, she knows what she's doing but i don't buy it. Having her on the video as some sort of apostle or pulling a Judas look would be amazing though

How do you know they haven't been on something together since? We haven't had any new pop material since ARTPOP. And if Gaga has learnt something from the past, it's that you should never tease too much - so I wouldn't be surprised if RedOne, Nile Rodgers and Mark Ronson were just the top of the iceberg when it comes to LG5.

Also, I think musically Gaga is in another place today. Back in 2012, she was experimenting a lot with hip-hop sounds and rap - I mean, we know Gaga had approached many rappers to collaborate with and that ultimately, Cake, Red Flame, Ratchet and Jewels & Drugs came from that little obsession (and probably more songs that we don't know of). So in the end, after 3 years and after C2C, I'd say that I'm unsure she's currently in the appropriate mindset to collaborate with someone like Kendrick, but you never know.

It's not them, it's Kendrick's management. His team. His homies or whatever you'd like to call them.

AFAIK Gaga and Kendrick are still in good terms.

Maybe her label isn't forcing her to collab with others to seem cool. Maybe going forward she may actually get to release what she submits to them and not a product that they've forced her to change 10 times.

Kendrick's verses on pop songs are usually corny, I don't think their styles would mesh so I'm not bothered by it.
