Daesh has made some degree of fuss over this in the past. It's more about politics than it is about the word itself. We are reclaiming the acronym and using it to shame an evil group of people and that should be enough in the first place. They were really young, 15, 16, and so was easily influenced or provocated by irresponsible people, so they were there and regret it once they realised what it is but it's way too late for them. Most feminists activists today are by the sociological definition NOT radicals. Hell, most feminists are probably Choice Feminists if I had to guess (the point is that you cant just make this claim with no evidence though ) I'd say most radical feminists believe capitalism is inherently flawed and would advocate not only for the reconstruction of how we look at gender (or some wish to abolish it entirely), but at political systems and how society runs itself. It's all a bit related, but I digress. Radicalism is not inherently wrong, despite the stigma and "Radical feminists" believe in a revolutionary re-structuring of society by looking at the ROOT of the problem, e.g. Patriarchy. MOST feminists activism is not on this scale what so ever if you actually track the progress and achievements of all of feminism. It's effect is grass roots like and through small, extremely gradual changes - especially when it comes to societal issues. The legal system is a whole nother story Feminism is only "radical" as an ideology in that it makes us question the overall structuring of society in regards to gender and look for ways to improve society as a whole for everyone. This is obviously controversial, as equality will always look and feel uncomfortable for those who once benefited from inequality, but its in no means a negative thing. I was giving my opinion to why I hate feminists because someone asked me and brought that up. But I do think Feminism is radical in a bad way and anyone who is attracted to that kind of ideology are crazy narcissists.
