That song was not a massive hit, it only has 141 million views on YouTube after 3.5 years and less than 600k likes. It's hardly a mega hit that people immediately think of when they imagine either of them. Coldplay could be possible due to releasing their last album, but no way will it involve Rihanna. Most of the acts brought on stage aren't related to the headliner in any way (Justin brought Janet, Madonna brought LMFAO and CeeLo, Bruno brought Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katy brought Missy and Lenny - yeah, Missy did a remix with her once but that song wasn't performed). There's no way it'll be a woman and definitely not a pop act. It'll be a rock, rap or country star/band. We've had a female perform for 3 out of the last 4 years and and we've had pop acts for 4 years straight and its been seriously annoying football fans. Considering it's the 50th anniversary, it'll probably be someone really appealing to the intended audience and legendary, to play it really safe. I'm surprised Bon Jovi have never been asked. Their biggest hits are exactly what the SB needs. Also, I must point out that it doesn't matter if an act has been rumoured for years. Because every year, the list of considerations changes completely. No one is rumoured now who was rumoured last year. Seems completely illogical, but that's just how it works.
