Guest Posted November 23, 2015 Share Posted November 23, 2015 All You Had to Do Was Stay and Clean would have been better, if you ask me, but there's just so much potential in almost every track that it's impossible to give each song its deserved spotlight. New Romantics, Wonderland, etc don't sound "wintery" enough to be released this season. Just think about it: Shake it Off was released in the summer/fall; a perfect bop to party to when you go back to school. Blank Space was released late fall/early winter. It was a huge contrast to Shake it Off, just like winter is a contrast to summer Style was released late winter/early spring. It seemed like a melting point. It hit a medium between Shake it Off and Blank space. Bad Blood was released late spring/early summer; a perfect summer sounding hit, especially with the remix. Wildest Dreams was a perfect end of summer single. When things start cooling off, it's a song to remember the heat, especially with all the young people who had summer flings (including me) Out of The Woods will be perfect for a winter single. It has that sad feel to it; however, like Style, it also has an uplifting vibe.
