I'm reading these disturbing articles about Chai Boys in Afghanistan, where the policemen would abduct boys between 9 to 15 as house slave and s-x lover. Because the women over there wear burqa, some men have problem seeing what beauty is, so they look at young boys and admire their beauty. This is one bad result of the law on wearing burqas and veils.

For centuries, Afghan men have taken boys, roughly 9 to 15 years old, as lovers. Some research suggests that half the Pashtun tribal members in Kandahar and other southern towns are bacha baz, the term for an older man with a boy lover. Literally it means “boy player.” The men like to boast about it.

“Having a boy has become a custom for us,” Enayatullah, a 42-year-old in Baghlan province, told a Reuters reporter. “Whoever wants to show off should have a boy.”

The authors of “Pashtun Sexuality” venture that the practice of bacha baazi is a function of a culture of extreme fear of female s-xuality. The Chronicle article cites a 29-year-old who told a reporter, “How can you fall in love if you can’t see her face?…We can see the boys, so we can tell which are beautiful.”

The State Department has called bacha baazi a “widespread, culturally sanctioned form of male rape.” For instance, one military intelligence reservist related a storyabout an Afghan colonel who stood before a judge after he hurt a chai boy by violently raping him: “His defense was, ‘Honestly, who hasn’t raped a chai boy? Ha ha ha.’ The judge responds, ‘You’re right. Case dismissed.'”

The abduction and rape is disgusting, but it's actually a pretty interesting look into human s-xuality and how society can effect it. Goes to show that, for the most part, many people's s-xual tendencies are heavily influenced by the culture they live in.

This is purely disgusting, first off, from the abduxtion and s-x, but they feel like it's great to BRAG about it? Truly just... Ugh I can't describe how angry this makes me. They're using the excuse of the Burqa, which consequently is a perfect example of debates I had in a class where we talked about whether people use religion as an excuse for actions and fights.

Funny thing is that the Taliban is against pedophilia and Chai Boys and they got rid of it when they were in power. This alone just want me to support the Taliban. I rather join the Taliban to fight against the current Afghan security forces that's into Chai Boys. Horrah for theTaliban on this one.

Maybe if they get rid of the burqa and allow their women to wear bikinis and short shorts then those men would gawk at the pretty women instead of the young boys. This make me mad too, enough to join the Taliban to fight this evil Afghan Security Forces. LOL

I don't see how women wearing a burqa is an excuse for pedophilia.

This here is abuse of power, abduction and rape from disgusting men. It is not excusable.

The men can't see the women's face when they walk around the city so it's hard to fantasize about pretty women, but the men can see pretty boys around town and fantasize about them.

he obviously doesn't know what love is, cause what he describes is lust, not love
